Hmmm... I'm sure Europe will get a price drop. You know how companies are? Sometimes they won't make a statement unless the big guys on top give them the go ahead.

True, they already have some great price cut deals for the PS3 over in Europe. There's a chance for a PSP drop as well.

""We have nothing to say at this time regarding the price of PSP within the SCEE region," Sony Europe told Eurogamer this afternoon."

psp 3000 only drop to 130.00??? while psp 2000 still over 100.00 on amazon and WTF!!
they both should be 59.99-89.99

Don't talk about them they will kill you looool

bwazy2580d ago

Why spend $140 that can go towards your NGP? PSP's will have a like... what? $50 trade in or less globally? No thanks, I'll just wait it out.

Neo Nugget2580d ago

You say that like the psp is still stuck with its launch games.

Close_Second2580d ago

Yeah, its always best to hang out cause you know something is better just around the corner...and when that comes out you know there is something better just around the corner.

12 months after NGP drops I dare say NGP v2 will be out.

Honestly, the lack of internal storage in the NGP puts me off completely.

kreate2580d ago

cuz im sure NGP will be expensive.

and 129 for a PSP is awesome deal since PSP does more than just gaming.

I aint buying no NGP. i got too many ps3 games to play.

Theonik2580d ago

Because the PSP library is great and not every game is available on PSN so in some cases BC with the NGP will be a bummer. Not to mention that PSP games can be had for very cheap worldwide in disk format, cheaper than on PSN (also i prefer disk format than downloads). I for one am tempted to buy one and i'm also getting an NGP at launch.

PS: It's $130

Inception2580d ago (Edited 2580d ago )

Well, NGP doesn't have UMD slot but PSP 1000-3000 have it. Until Sony release all UMD games on PSN (that you can download it for NGP), than you still need PSP to play those titles. Just like you still need a PS2 for playing PS2 games, cause not all PS3 had BC and collectors edition right?

They should of went all out by having a $60 price cut which would of made the new price $119.

Oh well, $129 is fine but they really should pack some stuff like the Holiday bundles.

GodofSackboy2580d ago (Edited 2580d ago )

That is the UK, they sell for between £130 - £160, and in dollars that's $210 - $258, so we're paying $90-130 more than you Americans...

@ below Do we? Our average wage is £25k, and yours is $50k. -_-

kreate2580d ago

yea but u guys make more than us.
and have more benefits.

we're broke.

bwazy2580d ago

I heard they finally got dental.

Jihaad_cpt2580d ago

that's because of the size of the market, scale to the economy if the market is bigger then you can sell for less knowing that you will make the ROI you want, if the market is smaller you have to raise the price to a point where you get your ROI with smaller sales...

nevin12580d ago

Yeah but that small market could be low income.

Jihaad_cpt2580d ago

it's the UK so it's not low income

and once again, the sony mantra comes into play.
"no plans for europe"
