XMNR: The first DC Universe Online content update has gone live but prepare to set some time aside to download the content update for the PC and PS3 MMORPG.
DLing it right now.
love playing this game might download it hopefully it lets me download since i havent payed for the month might start playing before the sale expires on the 3 months for $30
literally the most frustrating download i've encountered in a long time. Both because I'm VERY VERY ANXIOUS to play, and because i had to restart it TWICE!!!! godd.amn glitches.
I wish I could afford this game. The beta was so great. I just don't have the extra money and what little extra spending money I do get is going towards other games. But I will get this game on PS3 when I can afford it. Some time after Mortal Kombat is out hopefully. But the guy is wrong saying the monthly fee is $15 a month on PS3. It isn't. It's $34.99 for 3 months. They lowered the price and announced it right on the PSBlog shortly after the game released.
Actually, it is both. The $29.99 for 3 months is a promo that is only good through March 1. And, if you failed to sign up for the promo, the game automatically renews you at $15 a month.
I only paid $29.99 for the legendary subscription plan. I live in North America. Are the subscription plans different across the pond?
@Assassin...ack, you're right. It is $29.99
You could be right, but I'm not sure it's only a promo. On the Blog they made it sound like a Permanant thing. And since the game comes with a 30 day trial anyway, alot of people who bought it, that trial would take them past March 1st. You could be right, but you could be wrong. But also, I was pretty sure they said $34.99, so we may be talking about 2 different things. Your $30 may have been some promo while my $35 may be the permanant new price. IDK, maybe I'll spend the time to go look up the post on the PSBlog.
OK, I looked it up. You're right. It is a limited time thing, at least for now. Though to be honest, it seems like a far more reasonable price, and I have a feeling that will end up being a permanant thing, or it just go down to $10 a month flat within a few months.
I'm still undecided on if I want to buy this. I loved the beta, but the amount of trolls online totally put me off.
What do you mean the amount of trolls? In game?
Yeah, could you clear that up? I was considering trying it but if the people are all jerks...
Err what are you talking about? The people are really friendly its just the opposite side (if your Hero I mean villains and vice versa) that can be irritating. But everyone helps each other out for quests and such. I've spent a lot of my gaming time playing on both sides and haven't found anyone who has been so bad that it's put me off the game.
Strokey... I play a bunch and most people i found to be very cool. they have helped me with a bunch of stuff and didn't ask for anything in return. Im not sure what he means and he may have a valid point but on my end the experience has been nothing but nice and all the people ive met have been pretty solid people.
This game feeds of HDDs
Have you ever played an mmorpg?Of course it does.
Thank god I upgraded to a 250gb hard drive last year.
Thats a huge amount of content they are adding. Very impressive.
This game is like crack mixed with sugar coated coffee beans. It's a mega-sweet headrush. We fight over our PS3 like monkeys at a banana convention. The Xbox is sitting in the corner rotting. Now its time to go attack some more villain bases.
Check out the list of updates, fixes and tweaks in this patch http://www.examiner.com/con... ...it's l-o-n-g! A for effort at least, lol!
I wonder if 2 gigs is gonna be rare for updates, or the norm.
depends on the size of the update I guess, may vary from month to month or maybe its how they designed the game and its a set number of files that will always be updated, who knows.
