I have never been sent a death threat while playing a video game but then again I don't play on XBoxLive either.

What makes games frustrating?
Poor Graphics, horrible camera angles, sucky controls, stupid AI, repetitive game play, console ports (OF:DR), enemies that spawn out of thin air right behind you (Dead Space/Doom3), LAG, and last but not least....

an enemy that can absorb bullets like a sponge but can one shot kill you with a BB gun even though your wearing max armor, standing on the other side of the map, ducked down behind a pile of steel, holding a med pack and not even visible to the enemy but they managed to snipe you anyways while they are running around.

Frustrating? More like program file deleting.

We ploughed hours into chasing personal bests, climbing online leaderboards and had a great laugh in the process. That is the beauty of this game, as the addictive and entertaining gameplay is perfectly balanced by its slapstick charm."

Geometry Wars as a metaphor for working in a corporate office

It turns out that the unyielding onslaught of enemies and obstacles in Geometry Wars provides a pretty accurate metaphor describing a typical day in a corporate office. This article may help to make sense of, and almost find comfort in, the day-to-day insanity.
