In what was teased last week as an announcement for an announcement, we finally have the first solid details and media for the EA funded, Shinji Mikami and Gouichi Suda developed horror game now entitled “Shadows of the DAMNED.” It seems the game will follow demon hunter Garcia Hotspur as he sets out to the City of the Damned to rescue his girlfriend from some, yep, you guessed it, demons. It seems Garcia will be accompanied by a demon companion who can transform into a number of different weapons, making some sort of weapon upgrade system a likely possibility.
Veteran video game developer Shinji Mikami has established a new company.
That’s according to a bio of the developer on the new Shadows of the Damned Hella Remastered website, which claims that Mikami has recently founded ‘Kamuy Inc’.
No details further details on the company have been shared. There is also no indication of what the company will do.
Shinji should never stop making games. Kinda crazy he left the funding of M$ though.
I remember when it was announced that he was leaving Tango, someone on N4G claimed that he was old and it was time for him to retire.
I couldn't help but laugh at the ignorance. Mikami (like most Japanese people), do not want to work for Microsoft, they want their games to be played by their fellow citizens, which means Switch, Playstation, and PC. But this fool couldn't comprehend that. 🤣
Was waiting for his return announcement, glad to see that he's back! Please don't make mobile games.
I hope it's still survival horror
They should build on what they did with Evil Within for a new IP and take notes from the Evil Within sequel with those open hub areas.
Wouldn't mind if it was like Resident Evil but with a vampire virus instead.
Yeah this man's skills need a new start to thrive. Hope he keeps doing what he loves. Wonder what his next project is.
Today Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson provided a look into his ideas for the use of generative AI in the company's development processes.
EA is still a shady shitty company even with or without the help of Skynet. All they will use AI for is new ways to milk loot boxes and come up with the same sports title with a different year on the label. They are one company I truly do hate with a passion. They single handedly ruined some great franchise with their death touch. ME, Dead Space, Alice Returns, Dante's Inferno.
EA layoffs followed by 'Generative AI to Drive Monetization'
I knew it. Wonder what AI salary looks like? Nothing.
And take away creativity, and people's jobs as we've been seeing. Got it.
No thanks. I want my games created by people, not AI.
EA doesn't want to lose their title of worst gaming company ever, always trying their best to remain the champs!
What's sad is that they have so much potential to be a decent publisher.
SSX Tricky / SSX 3

Burnout 3 / 4 / 5
Remember when EA used to be awesome? It's all over with now. Unpolished, if not out-right broken games these days. Endless monetization and gambling in their sports games, and let's not forget wasting hours of your life trying to unlock characters or equipment using "surprise boxes!"
Gareth, Justin, and JoeyZ look at Layoff news for EA and Sony and reasons behind the downturn in the industry and more.
I wish "Shinji Mikami" made Resident Evil 5 maybe it would of been alot better.
Resident Heroes?
Evil Heroes?
No More Evil?
It would be badass if Nomura & Kojima team up to make a game. I don't care what kind of game it is, I would play it.
Hopefully the outcome will be a much more open, Killer 7 like title...
Holy crap, that was awesome! I am nearly sold on this just due to the guys involved, but the trailer was quite epic. Suda, Mikami, and Yamoaka all working together? I mean, we heard rumors of their project up till now, and that's a dream team if I ever heard one, but the game really looks to be top-notch awesomeness. Heck, all you need to do is toss Kojima in and it'd be instant gamergasm from the sheer mention of the project. And no, I don't know what a gamergasm is, but they would be happening all across the internet regardless, haha.
