I can't wait to play it. Hearing nothing but acclaim from Limbo.

Montrealien5027d ago

I did about 1 hour nd it is platforming in the purest sense. Such a great game, the puzzles are so well done and intuitive. imho this is an instance classic.

A must buy asap if you have have an xbox, and if ever it comes out on other platforms, get it. This game is special.

Perjoss5027d ago

I just finished downloading a couple of hours ago, it was quite late so I thought, I know i will just play it for 10 mins just the check it out, 10 mins... RIGHT!

Blacktric5027d ago

Watched the IGN's review and wanted to buy it. I first thought it was 400 MS points but then I considered games length which is around 4-6 hours then I thought it'll be 800. Turns out it is 1200 points, which is way too much for a game that can be finished completely with all achievements earned in 6 hours maximum.

Halochampian5027d ago

The funny thing is that the game takes about 6 hours to finish.. if you know what your doing (i just finished it. Amazing game)

I got 3 achievements. 1 for completing the game and the 2 others. That leaves me with 9 more to go. So i go to see what they are.. and this is the description of one:

Wrong Way
Thats not right

Yea... so the achievements themselves are puzzles and seem to be pretty challenging. The time it would take me to get all these will take me about another 2 playthroughs. I dont mind though. It was an amazing game.

It's seriously worth every penny of the $15.

"Hearing nothing but acclaim from Limbo."

nothing except length/price ratio as a bit of a negative. in fact, that's going to stop me - combined with the fact that if I trade in my machine again I'll once again be unable to play when not connected. unless I go through the license transfer hassle (assuming it's been >1yr since last transferring). it's the principle of not rewarding MS for their BS as much as actual annoyance caused by said BS.

sure it looks f**'in good but the above reasons are enuf to nudge me into 'not buying' category.

Perjoss5027d ago

£40 for a 12 hour game,
£10 for a 3 hour game,
the pricing seems bang on to me.

Spenok5027d ago

It does look good. Not to mention the reviews are really good as well. As soon as i conect my 360 back in ill be buying it.

Megaton5027d ago

It's a great game, but about 3 hours after buying it I had completed it and earned 170G. I wanna say it's a hard recommendation at $15, but what's there is really good. If it were $10 it would be a lot easier for me to fully endorse it.

I played the demo up to the part with the giant spider and I was honestly disappointed. The only Summer of Arcade game I want to buy now is Hydro Thunder (Reminds me of one of my favorite racing games ever, Waverace 64)

AAACE55027d ago

I played the demo and loved it! Don't have the cash right now to buy it, but I will. The demo is perfect, because it is fun and even when you die, it doesn't piss you off so much. You just keep trying! The demo ends leaving you wanting more!

I know this is only 1 title, but MS needs to buy this developer! The amount of thought and detail they put in is reason enough. I can only imagine what could be accomplished if they had a bigger budget!

It's now time for somebody to go up to Xbox Live Gold whilst it's fast asleep, then hold a pillow tight over its mouth until it stops breathing.

crazyCoconuts267d ago

This is game pass though. Doesn't seem that much better right now.

Profchaos267d ago

Looking at the quality of games mixing the two up in this case it's an easy mistake to make

BrainSyphoned267d ago

I forgot Everspace 2 released so I'm happy with this month.

Profchaos267d ago

Well I guess we know where all that gamepass money is going right into a giant s labelled bucket

ChasterMies267d ago

Microsoft is spending $70B on Activision. That doesn’t leave a lot left over for other AAA games.

monkey602267d ago

I've really wanted to play A Short Hike and Airborne Kingdom for a while now so it's cool they've been added but yeah I don't see this exciting the masses
