New details on new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. gameplay mode

Back in June GSC revealed its plan to release a new gameplay mode - Freeplay - for S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and the developer's now expanded on the details it originally provided.

Planned for inclusion in the next patch for the game, Freeplay's a brand new single-player mode that's accessible once you've completed the game.

"In a nutshell," GSC senior PR manager Oleg Yavorsky has told us, "it's you and A-life only, no story scene limitations whatsoever - you can roam freely (players complained they couldn't properly explore some places, like Pripyat), accomplish random quests (a bunch of new tasks were written specifically for this mode), [and] find some new opportunities, such as picking up tasks from the military, for example." (PC, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, STALKER: Clear Sky )
