Gamedibs had a lot of fun playing this game. The concept itself was what really interested them. Throughout the levels players have complete freedom with what they could draw to complete a challenge. Sometimes they drew basic lines to get from point A to point B, other times they were able to draw more complex models. The rating for this game will probably be E for everyone, but people of all ages really will have a blast with this game.

IGN - In Max & the Magic Marker, the titular Max must work his way through a series of side-scrolling stages while using his trusty orange-colored magic marker to help him on his quest. As various iterations of the game have been released on WiiWare, PC and iOS, the formula for the game hasn't changed; Max's magic marker can draw platforms, ramps and other basic items to assist him.
