Modern Warfare 2 DLC Coming Spring 2010

Modern Warfare 2 was just launched recently and people are already asking when will the first set of DLC will hit the PlayStation Store and XBOX Live Marketplace.

Seems to me that they didn't pack-in enough maps for this game. I'm also wondering if they will release more weapons and perks (@ a cost) just to be d*icks.

I doubt they will release perks and weapons at a cost. That's just unfair gameplay.

It's more likely just more maps, more spec ops and MAYBE even modes for a price, but I'm sure they'll patch in modes here and there (Team Tactical being the most important one, along with barebones TDM/a Pro S&D where stupid killstreaks dont continue after the round).

Seriously S&D is just not the same with killstreaks like AC-130s ruining the tactical gameplay

Actually, no. There are 16 maps in the game. For reference, thats more than either Halo 3 or Killzone 2.

Kinda bad timing IW. Ill be playing the free map i get for uncharted till "early 2010". At which point ill be getting battlefield bc2. So you can keep your $15 map packs to yourself.

The ONLY good map in MW2 is Terminal. The rest are all either mediocre or garbage. Scrapyard? LOL what a joke of a map.

All of the maps are boring now and it's only been 2 friggin weeks! There's no way in hell I won't have traded in MW2 by spring of 2010.

I just played Modern Warfare 2 last night (after taking a few days off from it, due to illness) and I see a bunch of new maps have been added!

When did that happen?!
I think I saw 5 new maps in the hour that I played.

As a Ps3 fanboy MW2 is a good game. Yeah Activision are wankers, IW are arseholes, Bobby Kotick is a dipsh!t, M$ are gay for sucking Activisions c0ck. But you can't deny a good game, if a games fun, its fun plain and simple.

Just saying. Oh, and that Bad Company 2 multiplayer is cool...for a minute. Dying and then having to run two minutes to where the action is, that's never fun. I'll take Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer anyday. Lots of attachments for a crapload of guns, killstreaks,etc. Makes any other multiplayer game out there look unvaried.

BC2 ect Beat the tiny rat maze maps that COD has become.

COD is like playing musical chairs, players constantly have to rotate around the map to stay ahead of the spawns. The game is silly when you really think about it.

You only spawn back at base in BFBC2 if you are not part of a squad - join a squad and then you can spawn at base, or at your team mates location. Like somebody else said below, MW has just become a game where you are just running around as quick as possible or dealing with campers, the map and multiplayer of BFBC beta have led me to stop playing mw atall and its just a beta - sorry MW no dlc buy from me

I remember when PS3 fans were going crazy on N4G right before that game was released.
They were saying that it was going to completely crush anything that the Xbox 360 had and that it would end the console war once and for all.

more than double the maps that Uncharted 2 offered. Even if Naughty Dog offered one free map, they still have to release another 8 maps free to match that of MW2.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Uncharted 2 a lot, but people are making unfair comparisons between Uncharted adding an additional free map to their current 7 maps, while MW2 is charging us to have an extra 3-4 maps to their curent 16 or so.

Good reply, but I guess my point was. How much has A/IW made off MW2 now in the first week alone? Like they need to charge more for already made maps? This is why ND looks so good in regards to free DLC. You too should be getting it free.

Eh I will not get this. I though the maps for Cod6:mw2 was made for campers I swear. They are everywhre now & it's a pain at times to take out snipers with silencer & thermal attachments. I am getting better at knowing where the camping spots are & been using smoke grenades like a maniac. I think I like Cod4 maps a lot better, they were simple & just more fun. Plus the action was always close. Not only that but the perk system was better b/c you could take the ones you want. In Mw2 you have to use one just to get the pro version of that perk that you want to use. And why take out the old weapons from Cod4 IW? Yet they gave us more rocket propelled launchers to use. Yaay. I love dieing by a freaking rocket.

I'm not crying I'm stating. I don't have time to cry & bleed. My k/d ration is 1.32 so regardless I am not horrible. Don't believe me add me & you can gladly check my stats.
