Game Revolution writes: "Like a teenager discovering his parents' old vinyl collection hidden away in boxes in the attic, gamers have been treated to a wealth of resuscitated old franchises and genres this generation. An undead army of old sprite-based mascots from platforming games, 2D fighting games, side-scrolling shooters, and beat-'em-ups are shuffling through the streets, craving mindshare. Many games that return to those old styles of play-Little Big Planet, Street Fighter IV, Shadow Complex, and Castle Crashers-are among the best games of this console cycle."
What it comes down to is this is a game that is rate E10+, which means that it is meant for a much younger audience. That being said the fact that 411 did actually enjoy playing the game speaks volumes for Namco Bandai accomplishing what they were after, a fun experience for younger gamers. Something that they feel they accomplished in spades.
Loot Ninja writes: "The Dragonball series has been out for quite some time and in its era has spawned countless games. None of them ever were critically acclaimed titles, but they always seemed to do the cartoon series justice by including most of the main characters and an art style that was consistent with the animation seen on the television show. I used to watch the cartoon series back in college, usually on a Sunday afternoon, hungover on the couch. It provided mindless entertainment with a slight sense of humor that was perfect as I tried to overcome numerous shots and games of beer pong from the night before. Dragonball: Revenge of King Piccolo has its its ups and downs. Does it have enough ups to provide you with at least a couple hours of mindless fun? Hit the jump to find out."
