Bring on the throwing stars! "Tenchu Z" for Xbox 360 Goes Gold!
Microsoft calls on ninjas of the nation to unite when "Tenchu Z" hits retailers on June 12
Microsoft today announced that the Xbox 360 exclusive "Tenchu Z" has gone gold and will sneak onto store shelves across the nation on June 12. Rated "M" for Mature, "Tenchu Z" is set to challenge gamers to become the ultimate ninja assassin through more than 50 missions set in ancient Japan and will be available for the estimated retail price of $59.99.
K2, the creative minds behind "Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven," present the latest installment of the renowned "Tenchu" franchise, "Tenchu Z" exclusively for the Xbox 360. The title is the first mission-based ninja stealth action game for the Xbox 360, and allows players to hone their stealth skills while slaying enemies to become the ultimate ninja. Patience and strategy, with use of the stealth kill system, is rewarded over a run-and-gun style of hand-to-hand combat.
"Tenchu Z" will task willing ninjas to assassinate evil doers, track enemies, rescue hostages and destroy targets using the art of stealth. For the first time ever, gamers can create their own ninja hero with the character customization features that include a variety of face types, hair features, outfits, accessories and more. Gamers can play solo at home or take advantage of co-operative play with two to four players through Xbox LIVE or System Link. Players can work cooperatively for a completely different ninja experience and team up with a friend to complete the missions and take out foes. Let a friend subdue a boss from behind as another runs him through with a katana. Special co-op moves are also available, adding variety and depth to the gameplay experience.
Aspiring ninjas should check http://www.tenchu-z.com for all new updated content making its debut today.
Chris Penwell from PlayStation LifeStyle writes: FromSoftware has had a vast history of games development since 1994. As we celebrate the release of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, we take a dive back into the company's history.
The Xbox team has been on a bit of a hiatus in updating the Xbox One’s core software, as the holidays were dedicated to making sure that everything worked for the many new owners of the console, and on adding features for developers. Looks like the same will happen next month, while more features for end users will come in early 2015. On the other hand January will see a big Windows 10 event, and Spencer is excited to share both Windows and Xbox plans.
I'm anxious to know what these plans are and what features will go to these developers
I also want to see the advancements from the latest SDK and how well holiday 2015 games perform with Directx 12
Games are already looking great and these things will only make Xbox One better :)
Curious to truly see the actual improvements dx12 will give xb1. The esram sdk recently is going to be a big help. MS are doing great supporting xb1 with continual improvements.
Discussing the ninja stealth genre and how the selection of games is very lacking.
Well you all know what I think by now.
Man, I'd never heard of Shinobido 2. I might have to get a Vita.
What I dont get is that Ninjas and stealth are so fkn cool. Why is no one tapping into that. Why are all the stealth titles becoming action games?
The only game that really came close to Tenchu for me, (and isnt even a Ninja game) is Manhunt. I love hiding in the shadows for minutes at a time, just waiting for the right time to pounce and take another scalp. Literally in Manhunt.
Please someone give me another Tenchu and Manhunt game !!
we would need both sony and microsoft to release an exclusive ninja style game on their console to compliment their console capabilities.
the exclusive competition alone can raise hype to an nex gen release... dont you guys miss the 2 companies going at each others neck.
anyway we the gamers need variety otherwise we'll be playing the same game different name.
unfortunately, just like the stealth genre, so many games have been dumbed down, or relegated to a "one button does everything" mentality.
I enjoyed the previous versions of this game. Looking forward to the demo. Hope it arrives soon.
@Bill"wannabe"Gates : Don't hate lemming, because you lost another exclusive to the 360. In fact, get used to it.
Instead of going "Gold", this game should go BACK to the drawing board. It's looking like absolute crap.
