Our bespectacled, no-legged hero Lex the Bookworm returns, though in a much bigger role than just a letter-chomping avatar. "

But our charming hero Lex goes through this whole expedition with a secret motive of saving someone from the claws of death."
Bookworm Adventures: Volume 2 is great for kids but fun enough to cross the age gap. Its simple game play is immediately learnable and infinitely enjoyable. As someone who is terrible at Boggle and outright hates Scrabble, it's something of a miracle that I enjoy the game so, and also a testament that Popcap's creation is one that all but the most self-conscious gamers will love.

The storyline, featuring a talking worm and a cast of fairy-tale legends, is cute without the saccharine-sweetness the game could have easily fallen victim to. You're given a ton of levels to complete over three sprawling chapters that bring to life classic stories directly from noted literary characters. Word recognition is spot-on. The colorful graphics and orchestrated score are just icing on the cake. But despite having all of the ducks in a row, Bookworm Adventures 2 fails in one incredibly important way: it just isn't very much fun to play."
