If you look beyond the faults, Retribution is a perfectly pitched, thrilling action game. It is the finest shooter on PSP, but this accolade isn't as prestigious as it might be because Sony's handheld is a hostile place for first and third-person action games. Sony Bend has done a great job of making it as accessible and playable as possible, but it still feels like the devs have been asked to put a square peg in a round hole. 8/10
