The upcoming PC version of Final Fantasy XVI will support a frame rate of over 100 fps, ultra wide displays, and mouse and keyboard controls.
Shaz from GL: "FFXVI contentiously rid the series' turn-based origins in favour of character-action. The result? A spectacularly fun system that rewards offense."
Proton Experimental got a new update yesterday that improves Final Fantasy 16, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and more.
So much hassle people had for FF16 performance on PS5 to hit PC and still be barely playable. FF16 is hitting the crysis “can it run it” for PCs.
And now I’m genuinely wondering is it because the devs failed to properly design the game or is it because it is over ambitious.
The game was optimized specifically for the PS5 and even so it makes that console creak....wonder how the Pro will handle it....
As a lifelong Final Fantasy fan, I’ve fought against seemingly impossible odds and collected more Phoenix Downs than I’d like to admit. In fact, I think I have spent more time as Cloud and Squall than I have as myself. Not that it wasn’t expected, but the PC port kind of came from nowhere. Square Enix announced a Final Fantasy 16 PC port that mirrors the PlayStation 5 version. Naturally, as a series veteran, my excitement levels were through the roof.
dont make promises ya cant keep yoshi
Mouse and keyboard is going to be... Interesting... On here, lol! Definitely want to pick this up on PC at some point! Fantastic game, and it'll be beautiful at higher resolutions and FPS!
Ultrawide is a seller for me. I know it sounds dumb, but man there’s something visually appealing about it for me. I’ll double dip even though this game blew for me. Boss battles up to a point were pretty good. I also felt the Benedikta arc was superb, it just nose dived from there for me and was incredibly boring sitting through overbloated dialogue. I just skipped most of it since you could get all the info you needed in the first couple sentences.
Awesome i can see them getting native 4k with 120 fps per second on XSX as well.
dont miss this great game!
