Final Fantasy brand manager Yoshinori Kitase was asked about the possibility of a Final Fantasy VI remake. It isn't in the cards, at least for now.
The developer of Garry's Mod has announced it is in the process of removing all Nintendo-related content from Steam Workshop after receiving a takedown request from Nintendo.

Changes like not being anti consumer? putting out Alan Wake Remastered on disc but not the sequel?
CGM Writes: While we were over at PAX East, we were able to sit down with Goichi Suda (Suda51) and talk about the upcoming remaster of Shadows of the Damned
6 remake would be amazing imo
,,their remakes are not remakes but more or less new games. So yeah...no thank you..better don't remake it.
No no…just continue to milk VII, that’s clearly what every single FF wants /s
Any money when they finish VII they’ll start on something else VII related
We want VI, VIII and IX remakes
There's no way they could feasibly do it on the scale of FF VII Remake. Too many characters they'd have to integrate into the story. Too many crazy locations and the scale would be ridiculous. I'd really like to see something kind of like they did for FF IV on the DS. It was 3D, but on a much smaller scale. Maybe something like that, but a lot nicer looking. Still, I would love to see some of those FF VI moments with today's graphics. Like Ultima Weapon, the ghost train, the Warring Triad, the floating continent, Kefka's tower, the world of ruin, etc.
I still think it's the best Final Fantasy to date, I have a genuine love for FFIV, but VI is still a masterpiece without rivals to me in the JRPG department
