The original Dragon Ball, great anime, is, but Is DBZ? I think they're two different beasts, even though it canonically a continuation. Some of the points they are making should be on the original series and not Z, but they do mention combat similarities, I guess in that way, DBZ is original(the fights, power).. still see no point in making these comparisons as the major point of the article, because this game and any DBZ game or episode would not be similar in any way besides the connection to Journey to the West(I think the original DB did best). They just like DBZ.

Let's be real here, there's only so much you can do with third person action games. Not every game needs to be something unique nor can they be.

Dude, there are so much you can do. Re-inventing the wheel is not always a good thing. Add new mechanics, intriguing storylines, characters, etc... focus on those and you will have a solid game.

Same here. I just hope that the actual game is at least as good as what they've shown us. The only game that actually fulfilled that in my opinion was Horizon Forbidden West. The game they show vs retail was almost identical.

This game looks more like a God of War / Enslaved - Odyssey of the West to me. im not seeing the Souls part in it as the pacing is much faster.
Either way though, I'm definitely getting it day one.

i agree. I think people are using Souls as a blanket term for ANY action with a hard mode vibe to it.

We need to bring back action games definitions away from 'souls'

who cares, the real concern or question is, will this game will be even be release, released and looking like that, I wouldnt get my hopes high, dont forget this is a chinese game and honestly they dont have a good reputation about their games imo.
