The foveated (sp?) rendering sounds like it has huge potential.

Didn't really know much about this game but certainly on the radar now.

Honestly, it's a REALLY great game. UploadVR and RoadtoVR GOTY for a reason - and what's they've managed to achieve on PSVR2 is a massive leap forward over that.

They sound very impressed by the headset

no doubt. They had to go back and recode elements of the game due to VR2's new tricks, like the improved foveated rendering. You know something's gonna be good when the devs say "it changes the way you experience VR" and "can't go back" within 10 seconds of each other (around 6:30 mark). No light leaks, subtleness of the haptics, controller light years ahead of VR1, very ergonomic to the point where one of the devs suggest players will be able to play longer sessions...their excitement becomes my excitement.

EDIT: this also illustrates how much work some of the devs have to do to upgrade the game for 2. It's not a simple port and reconfig some numbers. We throw the "it should be free" line around here alot. Look at their office people. Do you think Sony and Nintendo conduct zoom calls in wood paneled closet?

That's amazing I know personally I couldn't really push a gaming session past 1 to 1.5 hours in psvr1 without feeling far to uncomfortable to go on so I'm looking forward to the change

Can't wait for this. Sounds like they've put a lot of work into what was already one of the best VR games out there.
