Techland has confirmed that Dying Light 2 will have more open world events compared to the first game; lone-wolfing not allowed, as players are forced to pick a faction to side with.

No vehicles is disappointing

-Foxtrot1076d ago

Especially when it seemed they were going in that direction with the Expansion The Following

Even one small vehicle would have done

TheSaint1076d ago

It's set much farther into the future than the OG game.

-Foxtrot1076d ago

But won't that lock you out of missions or something?

Joining one only to have the others hate you?

Least in Fallout New Vegas and the like, there was clever ways of getting round things IF you played your cards right.

anast1076d ago

New Vegas is most likely going to be the last of its kind.

Obsidan are masters at RPGs and they've had several since new Vegas that are even better. I'd give them a try. Personally can't wait for Avowed. Also, since MS owns Fallout and Obsidan... always a chance they make another Fallout game too.

anast1076d ago

@Gazoo Obsidian and the rest of the gaming world has had 11 years to expand on what made NV a solid experience and Bethesda has had 19 years to expand on what Marrowind had to offer. If anything, they have gotten worse in this respect. I don't see it changing as long as we agree to buy their marginal products. I would give Obsidian the edge here though.

Maybe you can have it so you're with one faction, but also helping out the others? Semi-neutral?

rdgneoz31076d ago

From how the article said it, there's 2 good main factions (Peacekeepers and Survivors), along with a few smaller factions for side quests and such, and the villains (Renegades). It'll probably be side with 1 of the 2 main groups and earn rep to unlock gear / crafting recipes from them, while only going to war with the the Renegades.

What's wrong with open world? Lol

TheHan1076d ago

Patiently waiting for this game. Really liked the first Dying Light.

Me too! The first game was extremely well done and had lots of replayability. I've played so many hours with my friends in co-op and the DLC was awesome too. Can't wait for the sequel.
