LEGO Marvel Super Heroes made it's debut 10 years ago today, and remains a popular entry in the series of LEGO videogames.

The game so good I had to buy it twice on the PS4!

actually, it was because my toddler broke my first copy in half LOL

ChasterMies191d ago

My kids thought I was dumb for selling the Xbox 360 and buying a PS4 until Legal Marvel Superheroes dropped on PS+ a couple of months later. The game is like GTA for kids with couch co-op and a lot of humor.

The game is still one of the best LEGO games ever IMO. The sequel was a letdown for me

MLB The Show Series Apparently Makes Over $100 Million In Revenue Every Year

According to the LinkedIn of a former PlayStation marketing director, MLB The Show makes over $100 million annually for the Japanese company.

That's not a lot for the type of game it is, TBH. Revenue isn't profit. I also bet this person's milestone of increasing played by numbers made MLB greedy for more and went for Xbox even though that increase was from Sony marketing better and not just throwing it everywhere hoping they hit more people.

Thats close to 2 million copies a year, so not bad for essentially yearly roster updates though. Game hasn't had a new engine or major overhaul since ps3 era. This used to be a yearly purchase for me, but they seem completely content with their minor yearly tweaks and their 100 mil revenue so will likely never truly innovate unless a competitor forces their hand.

The Show 14 was massively updated on PS4. Crowds and Lighting.

They also put it on Switch fwiw, so I do think expanding the player base was a big part of the increase, as these games typically sold 1 million copies and are now pushing 2 million.

I agree its not much for a sports game, but you also have to remember that most people don't give a shit about baseball.

GamingSinceForever249d ago

That’s about 1.5M copies sold per year.
