The install size for Grounded has been revealed coming in at a rather tiny size at launch releasing on July 28, 2020 and taking up a total of 4.10 GB on the Xbox Marketplace and 3.74 GB on the Microsoft Store.

Looks like another games as a service game like halo infinite, sea of thieves, and many more games that Microsoft wants to put out. I thought fans didn't want to buy early access games again? I guess it doesn't matter if it's on gamepass because it's just an excuse to release half made games.

Survival/crafting/building games are very popular, I have played close to a dozen on Steam. I believe they may add content over time, but it's not going to be a service game. In my opinion, service games would be like SoT or Destiny, with exclusive/community events, daily/weekly challenges, etc. Service games have huge worlds to explore, not some backyard. Service games have places to congregate and talk to other players. They have group raids or missions to go on.

I've played a ton of early access building and survival games on steam. Definitely more than a few dozen. The problem is 90% of them are still in early access and I paid for them like 4-5 years ago.

Element,

Thanks for using Logic.

Seems like that is missed on a lot of people on here that wants to make MS seem bad or I'll fated.

Even with the recent MS games showcase, let's me know that next gen will be great..4k/60 on Halo with a big open world that will add new content and graphical upgrades seems great. This will be thebest generation change over in forever. People tend to forget that this is a transition and regardless of what they saw that they didnt like in the showcase, we do know that what's under the hood for both new systems will be a good leap over what is being seen right now..people just like to crap talk what they dont like instead of using common sense.

@dark I know how you feel. I have stopped buying early access games, not because I think they'll be crap, but I don't want to get burnt out and have to start over when major changes occur. I just want to explore and build and get achievements, many of those aren't implemented until 1.0 launch or after.

Personally, I stay away from any games in Preview. Just a personal policy that I don't pay for incomplete games.

I don't mind games in GamePass evolving over time, but there has to be a base set of completion.
