I really feel empathy for the Catholic Church. It's a denomination of Christianity that's so massive and far spread that everyone knows about it. It emphasizes the Cross as a symbol of Christianity that can't even be respected by it's own as drug dealers, gang-bangers, prostitutes, porn stars, etc. have no respect for it and wear it just because it's a fashion statement. Now, I'm not a Catholic myself and don't fully understand it all and maybe their teachings, or lack thereof are the culprit of it--evangelical Christians I personally feel are the most undiciplined next to non-denominational Christians that teach you accept Jesus and then do what you want, makes no sense to me-- but this is horrible to treat them like this as one of the most scrutinized denominations in their faith but, I feel bad every time I see something like this, it's pretty cowardess and disrespectful. We want and beg for tolerance in the LGBT community but society can't show respect toward the Christian community? It seems so one-sided. I'm sorry to all of my Catholic Christian friends, this isn't right.

You do understand that, as weird as it looks, this game is inspired by historical events? This pope existed and is known to have done a lot of what is shown here.

Its time these people got exposed for their wickedness. Cry for those who were hurt by them. Dont cry for the priests.

Gtfoh with that wall of bs. Every single culture, religion, race, ect. has been depicted poorly at one time or another in a video game. And that's all it is, a video game. There are games out there where the literal goal is to rape women or commit genocide, but nah, let's feel bad for the Catholic church because some independent studio made a game about them. They haven't done anything wrong...

Name one game that depicted Islam or Judaism poorly......

I'll wait.

Read "The Jews of Spain and Portugal " also read " The Critical Review, Or, Annals of literature, volume 57" (pages 139-144). These books give great history on Catholics and the whole of Christianity. Two sickening evil religions, that have nothing to do with the bible whatsoever other than 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 kjv

According to the PC police, its perfectly ok to bash straight white males and Christians. All part of the agenda to destroy Western culture.

TheColbertinator1491d ago

Western culture destroys itself time and time again. Both World Wars were primarily based in Europe and all the accumulation of mathematics, engineering, biology, philosophy and religious theology were wasted on how to massacre each other and by the millions.

Don't whine when history goes on a cycle and western culture takes a back seat for a few years, if it has. Besides it's been a golden age for western nations as peace, economics and rule of law have all been moderately successful here despite the deteriorating conditions of many 3rd world countries (East or West).

To me the main good thing they did was keep Islam out of Europe in the middle ages. If Europe was Islamic then I am not sure how that would affect us now.

Well there wouldn't be any feminist or LGBTQ... they would have tossed them off the rooftops or stoned them.

And they would simply kill all infidels...

JackBNimble1491d ago

You obviously know nothing about christianity if you believe half this garbage

Unfortunate, but especially in the dark ages alot of abuse and killings happened because of the catholic church. Not only that but they kept generations illiterate. But this isn't just the catholic religion. Anywhere their is power consolidated (religion or not) you'll find abuses and those who take advantage.
