In a post to Twitter on Jan. 6, Nintendo revealed that the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Online Open would start on Jan. 17 and continue until Jan 19. Each day, players will be able to participate for the top slots between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. PST, with a maximum of 24 races per player tallied toward their final totals.
It's a 2-for-1 on this week's chart, as the Golden Week holiday period takes Stellar Blade to the top spot, as well as some impressive Switch sales figures

Just ordered my copy yesterday, gets here today. I still haven't beat FF7 Rebirth, but I want to play Stellar Blade lol. So I'll just play both 🤷🏽 and Helldivers 2 🇺🇸

I hope they just keep building on Mario Kart 8; Add a track-creation tool, and probably open it up to more Nintendo IPs with new tracks and characters, so Metroid, Punch Out, Starfox, Animal Crossing, etc etc.

I don’t care about online, local multiplayer is what Mario Kart has always been about.
Now if Nintendo were to announce DLC, then they’d have my full attention.

With how laggy this game can get online I don't see this working out so well, not to mention it would occasionally disconnect all together
I've won Gold Points from a few Tetris Maximus tournaments, but that skill is not transferrable to Mario Kart. Good Lord I suck at that game.
