Modern Warfare director responds to claims about censoring the campaign

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's narrative director has responded to suggestions that Infinity Ward have caved in to media pressure already, following reports that the developer was removing lines of dialogue from the campaign." Dexerto says.

People are so gullible.

They never censored anything. It's part of their marketing and PR to have everyone believe that this game has anything worth censoring.

It's COD... Call of Dookie... the same laughably uninspired overblown Hollywood cliche fest.

Does anyone truly believe that COD is serious and mature enough just because they are saying so? "No Russian" is as "controversial" as COD will ever get.

The way they are building hype for this game is super cringey.

Spot on, Six. It's so darn obvious when they oh-so-conveniently get to reference Battlefield in the tweet exchange.

“Media pressure” should be laughed at. They have been out of touch with actual gamers for years now.

N4G-people, please be smart and don't bite the bait. Remember, this is Call Of Duty. They neglected a campaign completely last year, and their last several campaigns have been shorter and lackluster. Activision could have attended E3. They could have had another public event to demo this game off. But they didn't, and they aren't. They're relying on social media triggering for their post-reveal marketing, us vs them arguments, hoping to end up on the right side of that stupid finger-pointing fight.

The proof is in the pudding. Notice the person the MW Director is responding to? Someone who has never played a Battlefield game because they are SUCH a Call of Duty fan. Which game just got slaughtered on social media (and sales) because of other us vs them arguments? Hmm.... Let me think...

SixFragz gets it.
