Borderlands 3 Trailer: - Reveals and Disappoints

What we know The Borderlands 3 teaser trailer was dropped by Gearbox Games at PAX East. It was a teaser and hinted at a lot of different things.   It contained a lot. Picking it apart has been done nearly everyone, so a quick summary of those findings is given below.

Did not dissapoint me , Games day one for me love the series.

LordoftheCritics1872d ago (Edited 1872d ago )

The trailer did not showcase anything substantially new.

Hope the game has much much more than what's in the trailer.

Ninjamonkey821872d ago

For me it just had to be Borderlands, me and my bro went threw the one before multiple times lvling collecting and just having a blast in its gameplay.

"The trailer did not showcase anything substantially new."

Just out of curiosity, what did you want to see? I was very impressed. More of the same in this case wouldn't be the worst thing, no need to change something that isn't broken.

Nothing substantially new? One can ride a mech, you have running turrets, and multiple beautiful environments to explore and kill new people in for starters. Not to mention old favorite characters coming back, tons of new badies, billions of guns, and a beautiful game so far.

Elwenil1872d ago

Fallout 76 had a lot of "substantially new" changes.

Look how that turned out.

I think that was the point. The biggest worry amongst fans of the series is that Borderlands 3 was going to be totally different, whether that meant leaving Pandora behind entirely (as the end to Borderlands 2 may have suggested), or becoming a shared-world game in order to compete with Destiny.

Although the latter has not been confirmed to not be the case, the trailer did an excellent job of dispelling any fears that this was going to be a 'different' Borderlands.

There will be plenty of new features, characters and mechanics. But they will be spreading out those reveals over the next few months just like they did with the previous games.

I hate to be that guy. I know graphics aren't everything, but the game literally looked the exact same as Borderlands2. Come on GearBox...

quent1871d ago

Technically difficulties aside it was still more then we get at most E3's

Didn't disappoint anyone, look at the like ratio on the reveal trailer. This article is trying to make controversy out of thin air, just another day in 2019. Googame just another site trying to use sensationalism for clicks, i'll pass and just pre order the game as soon as I can.

Yea not sure what they watched. I can't wait to play Borderlands 3.

Harkins17211872d ago

Looks like more borderlands. Which people wanted. Thanks for listening Gearbox

I just hope it looks and plays a bit better than Borderlands 2. It looked like a last Gen game visually in the trailer. It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice if they made it a bit flashier given current hardware capabilities. At the end of the day if it keeps local split screen I really can't complain. It's ridiculous that almost all MP games have dropped split screen.

Highlife1872d ago

The game does disappoint by the looks. Doesn't seem like much of a graphical update. It better run 60 fps.

masterfox1872d ago

Glad lots of people are excited for this but man it does look damn old!, like PS3 or 360 gen old definitely not excited one bit for this one.

ECHOINFINITY1872d ago

@ricegum He isn't wrong with respect to the visuals. It looks like handsome collection, which is obviously a last Gen port. I think the game looks awesome but it would have been nice to get a current Gen visual upgrade as well.

Though far from the best version, this does a mostly good job of bringing this snarky sci fi shooter to the Switch.

borderline unplayable lmao

Really like the series but each one seems more of the same to me. Needs a mix up. Tiny Tina was ok at 1st but overall meh.

gold_drake257d ago

you can only make a 1st person looter shooter so much different.

fans dont play it for the ganeplay but more for the story i would assume.

i know i did. and cause i liked the characters

InUrFoxHole257d ago

Idk but they're solid overall

FalcorMononoke257d ago

The first 3 games were great on the Switch so I'm sure this one will be good.

Profchaos257d ago

Hate to say it but this was a bad game I don't see the merit in porting it unlike the first 2
