Bayonetta creator teases Mortal Kombat 11 crossover

From GameRevolution: "Bayonetta creator Hideki Kamiya has teased a potential Mortal Kombat 11 crossover, hinting to his followers that he could be looking at bringing the character to NetherRealm Studios’ fighting game. With Mortal Kombat 11 releasing on the Nintendo Switch and Bayonetta 3 set to launch on the console later this year, it is possible that Bayonetta is planned as future DLC for game."

Dont get too excited. Even if it happens and Bayonetta is in Mortal Kombat, she wont be sexy and she will be covered up in clothes from head to toe. All female characters are fully dressed in MK11 in order to appease feminism and to not appease "toxic masculinity". FOR REAL!!!! MK9 is almost 10 years old @JokerBoy422 . Those kind of designs dont make sense in the ultra realistic style MK11 has. MK9 was clearly more cartoony and vibrant, while mk11 is heavy, gritty, and more aligned with reality. Also, really... women don't fight in layers because they want to be as light as possible? LMAO. I'll just say that in MK11 you can fully customize the clothes each character wears. There is likely going to be a skimpy outfit you can put her in or at least unlock classic outfits for each character.

To be fair, the "sexiness" in MK9 was waaayyy over exaggerated. Combine that with the terrible animations that were predominant throughout the game and the whole thing just came off as goofy, with most of the female characters looking extremely awkward and unsexy in gameplay. Contrast that with, say, Katana's default outfit in MKX, especially the Assassin variation, which was anything but goofy while also being sexy. Its the best shes ever looked. I can't say about the rest of the females cause I didn't put nearly the amount of time that I put into MK9 (cause MK9 was just more fun to play). And you may be right about Boon, I don't know. But Katana's default outfit certainly did set a standard for female character design going forward.

That said, I am also not a fan of Skarlet's look in MK11, but Jade is looking on-point.

If I'm remembering correctly they stopped making characters 'sexy' because during different tournaments they band certain costumes, the reason behind it being that it can potentially distract the other player.

In all fairness, Mortal Kombat's change in direction is nothing new. They've been exploring different story elements since the 3D MK games. Just look at Deception and Armageddon's konquest modes. It became less about a tournament and more about the fate of the realms.

Ehhh I honestly can't imagine Bayonetta as a guest character in Mortal Kombat like I could with Kratos. Kratos fit so well because God of War is just as dark, serious, and mythological as Mortal Kombat. The Bayonetta games, while also very violent, are over-the-top silly and stylish, and don't take themselves seriously.

If anything, it could be some sort of crossover skins for both games. Bayonetta dressed as Mileena and vise versa sounds like a neat idea.
