BioWare Producer Thomas Singleton stated that Anthem really shines as a game when playing in a squad, and probably won't be as rewarding when played solo.

I hope so, it got boring fast in the Alpha.

LucasRuinedChildhood1967d ago

Oh no. They're getting the "but it's fun with friends" excuse in early.

DrumBeat1967d ago

Oh lord, that's exactly what they're doing. Hard pass.

bloop1967d ago

I just don't get any of these games. Anthem, the Division, Destiny....... standing still unloading clip after clip after clip into an enemy with dumb a.i. Maybe it's because I've only ever tried these games solo. Must be much more fun standing still with 3 other people unloading clip after clip after clip into an enemy with dumb a.i. 🤷‍♂️

notachance1967d ago

ikr, even watching water boils can be fun with the right friends

Here we go

When will people realise these kind of online co-op games today are only done because they can put in less content and let players get their replay value from playing the same repetitive grindy missions with their friends. It gives off the illusion that the game is filled with content when really you are replaying very similar missions or even the exact same ones..only thing that changes is the experience you have with your friends talking to them...one night Jack might be online while another Peter and Tony will be. The only real big difference.

darthv721967d ago (Edited 1967d ago )

Fun with friends is never an excuse because it usually is just that.... fun.

CanadianTurtle1967d ago

If it's a co op focused game, then obviously it's going to be boring if you play it by yourself. Even an awesome games like borderlands will get boring if you play it alone (not to mention, you're at a disadvantage gameplay-wise). I don't know why everyone is surprised that a game that was built to play with buddies, is boring if you play by yourself .

Good to hear as long as multiplayer remains active

JesusBuiltmyHotrod1967d ago

EA's destiny, with worst combat, no thanks.

Alexious1967d ago

Combat isn't worse than Destiny.

Adexus1967d ago

I found it to be far worse in its current state, it feels spongy and not satisfying at all, hopefully they improve it at launch.

PapaBop1967d ago

Destiny has some of the best combat in a shooter released in the last decade. Anthem at least from watching clips looks very similar to Mass Effect Andromeda and nowhere near as satisfying as Destiny's. I hope to be proven wrong but the only decent thing about Anthem's gameplay is the flying from footage showcased at least.

JesusBuiltmyHotrod1967d ago (Edited 1967d ago )

LMAo..yes it surely is, are you high? Destiny has maybe the best pure gunplay on the market, Ahtmen is decidely average in comparison.

Dragonscale1967d ago

Destiny has great combat mechanics, its the other crap that lets it down. This will be the same but without the great combat mechanics.

Thought so, this game looks like a pass to me.

Kosic1966d ago

It's definitely a pass game. Tried the beta, and quit after 45mins. We've either seen it before or played better.

AK911967d ago

More reason for me to ignore this title.

I really enjoyed Good Job game...too bad that they are closing

mastershredder1d 7h ago

Considering the level of games they made, I'm surprised that more than 2 people worked there. 45 people (+ outsourcing) making mediocre mobile games, like cut the rope. I mean dude....Nintendo stooped to new lows in quality development and entertainment standards.

thats so crazy haha.

it will never disappear.

darksky3d ago

The more they try to stop it, the more publicity it gets. The fact is that Yuzu will forever live on torrent and other sites. Nintendo is fighting an uphill battle.

Inverno3d ago

Another 8,500 will take their place. Smh

PRIMORDUS3d ago

There is nothing stopping these people from working on Yuzu clones and sharing them on torrent sites. Nintendo or anyone else cannot do shit about torrents or usenet.

lucasnooker3d ago

lol Nintendo keep fighting this but it never ends. Why do they feel the need to persist? I guess they are in too deep now they have to
