Darksiders 4 All But Confirmed Following DS3 Performance

First one was so good!!! One of my favorite ps3 games. Second one had more freedom but want as good... Still like it though..
My excitment for this third one isn't there... I'll prob pick it up at lower price..

I think you’re missing out if you’re a fan of darksiders. Darksiders 3 is really good to be truthful it’s become my favorite darksiders game the world is just so fun to explore and really intricate and a lot bigger than it first seems. Fury experiences the most character growth out of the three horsemen so far and she easily has the best main weapon hands down. I say give it a shot there’s a pretty good chance you’ll end up really liking it.

Don’t let the bad reviews fool you. It’s a good game. Not great. Good. Good enough where I feel like I got my money’s worth. I’m playing it on the X. I don’t know if that has a bearing on its technical performance or not. I like the game enough to where I spent a little over 4 hours learning the game and I’m gonna start over from scratch, now that I know what to expect. Change up my approach a bit. It’s not the same caliber as GoW or Bayonetta in terms of combat, but she can kick ass in the right hands.

Concerning DS3, I'm just not as excited as I was with the first one. But since I platinumed the 2 first ones, Im picking this one up but later!!

The third is garbage. Took the engine from the last game, ported it to this generation, then put the third story content on to it. Zero effort to improve the game. Shame really.

It also weirds me how the article is so enthusiastic about the game "SURELY BEING ABLE TO SELL 100K". Makes it seem like the game was an absolute commercial failure. This should be selling 500k+ at this point.

It’s not that you’re wrong because 100 K when compared to other titles is rather poor

Would they have been more happier if it had more? yes, But at the end of the day if they made their money is back and worth the ad for the eight successful enough to do the sequel

It’s clear they didnt spend a bucket load on the game, And unlike the majority of companiy they set the bar’s low And It may have paid off even if it was a little

The game had a low budget and the developer said they would be happy if it did 100k. For many other games that would be abysmal. For this one it's not at all. Maybe learn how things work.

No they are setting the bar at a realistic expectation unlike the majority of studios who see games has a failure if they don’t sell ten million copies and have people playing years down the road while milking them dry

First they should focus on feedback from gamers and try to improve the game. They can use this as an learning experience for darksiders 4

The 4th could be a 4 player co-op game with all the horsemen. Since the first 3 games have been all taking place around the same time during different events

Doubt they'd be able to pull off a 4-player co-op game. Each game had different mechanics, will be a difficult task for level designers to get a co-op game with 4 different protagonists with different mechanics to gel cohesively. I'd love to be proved wrong though

People need to quit bringing up co-op it wouldn’t fit this series and what it’s about matter of fact it would ruin it. Darksiders has always been about being a badass horseman of the apocalypse who takes on angels and demons alike while exploring dungeons,solving puzzles,growing more powerful and getting items to access previously inaccessible areas like a metroidvania all in a very atmospheric game world. If they added co-op it would ruin most of that just like co-op ruined the dead space series and plenty of other games. There’s more than enough brain dead multiplayer and co-op games out there leave darksiders which has always been a single player action adventure as it is

Really hoping for them to remaster saints 1-3 before giving the series a soft reboot to focus more the series being like SR2( which had perfect mixture of crazy and serious)

KOA remaster won't happen from THQ. While they own the IP. EA still has the rights and assets to the first game. So They have two options. Remake it or make a sequel.

well this is encouraging i was worried that all the negative feedback from the third game would scare them off making a 4th entry

I actually found the 3rd game to be a worthy entry in its own right and really enjoyed it. My only real problem was the performance issues on the PC version (cant speak for the console versions)

Well i'm glad they are going to make a fourth one i have enjoyed all three so far although the third is my least favourite but still a good game. I actually hope we get a 5th one where you can play as any of the four horsemen.

I have only seen negative and mixed reviews from some reviewers I follow, but I still want to play this game at some point. I really want to see another Darksiders title though, just to complete the franchise if they can manage it. It's good to hear that 71,000 copies were sold on Steam alone, it makes me hopeful for a 4th game. Darksiders 1 and 2 were great games with both good and bad parts, but it was clear the developers cared about the franchise. I was sad to see the less than great reviews for the 3rd game, but I am guessing that they are finding their bearings as a newly-formed studio. Although I am not getting it at release, I will be picking it up at some point to show some support at the very least.
