Nintendo expects Switch ports to arrive much sooner starting next year

“We’re talking today about a platform that is 16 months old,” Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé tells The Verge at E3. “The development cycle today is multiple years. So I would argue that beginning at the end of this year, or next year, that gap will have closed. Because key developers have had the development systems, they’ll have been working to create content for our platform from the beginning. That’s what is going to close that time gap.”

I need more first part titles to arrive sooner than games I can get on the PS4. Also nintendo still needs to patch xenoblade chronicles 2, or do I need to buy an amiibo to fix that game?

I would like new 3rd party support rather than ports of games I've already played.

why would anyone buy a watered down switch port when one can play the real versions on the real consoles? beats me everytime.

Portability? You can’t exactly carry those consoles around like a handheld you know.

Playing game on the Switch during breaktime at work and continuing those game on a big TV when come back home is awesome.

Why would anyone buy the watered down console versions of games when they can play the "real" version on a suped up PC?

Turned based Phantasy Star and Shinning Force remain at the top of my list of Sega IPs that need to return. At the very least I'd take a Shining Force collection that has 1,2,3, CD and the Game Gear entries.

FinalBoss6d ago

I was hesitant to put these two on. I've personally played more PSO than the RPG version. And shame on me, I don't remember much about Shining Force to talk about it properly.

That said, so many Sega licences deserve their place in this list.

jznrpg3d ago

A new Phantasy Star in the numbered series would be amazing. Shining Force too. But I’d settle on some collections as that’s probably the best we will get

anast5d ago

I don't trust Sega to do a proper comeback. The games will be just remastered and/or monetized to death.

shining force.

but indont see that happening unfortunately.
