From GameCrate: In anticipation of Detroit: Become Human's upcoming May 25th, Quantic Dream and Sony Interactive Entertainment held an event in downtown Los Angeles where they gave game journalists a chance to play the first two hours of the game. Here's what we saw and thought of it.
Quantic Dream has sent Gamereactor a press release stating that Detroit: Become Human now has sold more than 2,5 million copies on PC, making it surpass 8 million across all platforms.
That's great. Quantic Dream took everything they learned from their past games and built the most refined, coherent and interesting game and story yet. I even bought it on both PS4 and PC.

PSU writes: "Detroit: Become Human has surpassed 6.5 million units sold, between both PS4 and PC, after hitting the six million mark last July."
Nice. This is a must play and by far the best of QD’s titles (although I have huge love for Heavy Rain).
To this day, I am still very surprised that Sony did not buy Quantic. Especially after the HR, Beyond and Detroit era. Perhaps they tried but weren’t successful.
And now they’re off making multi-plats. Interested to see how their new title is.
Isn't it telling, that you don't see these types of headlines when it comes to Telltales' Games? Or games like Life Is Strange? Or even games like Fire Watch etc. But because it is not an indie game, and because it is an exclusive, suddenly it's not a game, but an "interactive movie". I guess Telltales Batman is not a game, and Life is Strange is not a game?! Please, your bias is leaking out of your pen here.
And again the article goes on about the "gender identity" regarding Kara as the only female lead. So are you suggesting that games can no longer represent women in roles like maids? Cooks? Nurses? etc etc because gender identity?! I really hate it when this nonsense is brought into games. Gone are the days when games were simply viewed as passive entertainment, now they are being forced to be viewed as social commentary on contemporary politics. If I wanted contemporary politics I would watch the news - but I don't, because I think it's all just manipulative bullcrap. And I don't want that nonsense in my games either. We don't play games for political or social commentary, so please stop pushing that agenda into gaming.
Never see headlines about Telltale that say "sacrifices action for narrative." I mean if Quantic Dream made games like Devil May Cry in the past and put out a game like Detroit, then you could say yes they did sacrifice action for narrative but narrative driven games are all they've made. What's wrong with having variety in the types of games we play? If you want action, there's a plethora of choices available to you.
This one isn’t for me.
