CCP Games CEO Hilmar Veigar Pétursson reveals new details about the EVE Online inspired shooter, Project Nova, and confirms it's coming to PC.
From GI.biz: "Reports have emerged that Project Nova, the multiplayer shooter based on Eve Online, has been cancelled. However, this is not the case.
A statement released on Reddit explains that Project Nova is still in development -- it's just not called Project Nova anymore.
The studio said it is "continuing to develop our sci-fi multiplayer shooter game concept, actively evolving it beyond the original scope of what was formerly codenamed Project Nova."
From VG247: "EVE Online creator CCP has said that it will continue to try to create good EVE Online spin-off games despite previous failures.
CCP most recently canned shooter Project Nova days before it was due to go into beta and after showing it behind closed doors to the press. Project Nova was itself a spiritual successor to DUST 514, the cancelled shooter for PS3."
I invested alot of time into DUST514 without regret. It was a great game which had the potential to migrate to the ps4. In saying that i believe these devs are extremely incompetent when it comes to continuing their IPs
Screen Rant writers, "Project Nova, the next first-person shooter set in the EVE Online universe, is still in development and we finally got another update from CCP Games."
