From GameWatcher: "Yesterday many news sites reported the astonishing news that Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 was now the most profitable entertainment product ever, earning more than any other game, movie, album or anything else in history. This is incorrect."
The GTA 5 Agent Trevor DLC episode could have been a real treat for fans on PlayStation and Xbox, before it was scrubbed sometime before 2017.
With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.
I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.
Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder
One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
Blizzard Entertainment has announced the opening of beta registrations for “World of Warcraft: The War Within,” inviting players to explore new subterranean worlds beneath Azeroth.
Grand Theft Auto V was released on PC on the 14th of April 2015. That means the game will be nine years old in four days, and it’s still among the most-played titles on Steam. With a 24-hour peak of 145K players, it’s as popular as Baldur’s Gate 3, Apex: Legends, and Destiny 2.
makes sense
Can't stand how easy the spread of misinformation happens now
world of warcraft is the biggest game ever, its not even close. World of Warcraft had 12 million concurrent subscribers at its peak, not sales but subscribers paying a monthly fee. Total sales for world of warcraft must be close to 200 million considering its lifespan, worldwide popularity and how many people still play.
I think it’s fair to say WoW has the advantage of forcing players to subscribe if they want to play. GTA has managed to do this by only making players buy into a single copy of the game that hasn’t really budged in price since launch.
Either way the fact that it's sold as much as it did shows how easily impressed gamers have become.
