No matter how good the score is, it doesn’t change the fact that it plays at ~20fps the vast majority of the time and crashes almost constantly. Maybe by next holiday it’ll be better, who knows.

FYI: the review was for the XB1 review ya know.
8 or even a 7 is a accurate score given how much of a mess this is, even if it is fun.
A score of 10 or 9 is ridiculous that some sites have been giving this once again for the XB1 version, would you not agree @Septic?

I submit that the conversation is moot. This game is not finished, and therefore reviews are at best transitory.

Its sad how N4G has become the last bastion of PlayStation fandom. Post anything positive about an XBOX game that is exclusive or timed exclusive and you get voted down or your comments hidden as inappropriate. PUBG has not attracted so many millions of players by being a bad game. The XBOX version admittedly has some issues but will follow the same path as the PC and get updated and have more features added. It looks simple but there is a lot of depth to the game and the millions of players online enjoying it show that beyond any asinine comments from those who cannot see past the badge on the front of their console.

who cares at what its scoring, the ame is addicting and fun and is still a preview game that will keep gettin updates. and while everyone loves screaming xbox has no games, right now pubg is the biggest game on xbox or any console by a wide wide wide margin, sony fans cant even mention a game getting played by 4 mill people right now on ps4

freddyfazbear, whenever you like you can pm me, ill show you my ps2, ps3, ps4, ps4pro, psvr, move and the crapload of games of i have for all of them including my vita. I love sony, best tv's ive had and their camera sensors are the best in the business so much so all our phones use them including samsung, i grew up with sony and ps1 all the way to the ps4 pro, the non stop barage of new exciting games which gave the devs the freedom to bring us games like wipeout, warhawk, metal gear, tekken and the hundred others that started the rebirth of video games. so yeah i love playstation, i just hate and dispise so many so called sony fanboys, they ruin everything for everyone . I also love my xbox's and i loveeee my x1x and i also love my beast of a pc, i play everything i just rag on many here because they destroy gaming as a whole . i would never want to see sony or ms dissapear form gaming, but many here would love ms to die and go away, meanwhile its the fact that we have ms sony and nintendo to keep each other in check and bring us bigger and better all the time. if there was only sony or ms or nin we would be fed the same crap over and over and innovation would be stagnant

Coming from a Ps guy... These comments are a bit biased. Horizon, God of War, Uncharted.... They all scored good on Famitsu and we all jump for joy. They give Pubg a decent score and now we get hate on the score, the game, and the ones that gave the score???....
Anyways good job for them. Maybe I should give it a try on my sister's Xbox

I don't care about ps4's fans comments, I understand that they are really angry because they need to have it all.
Battlegrounds having 9.5, 10, 8 from the most recognize reviews is a sign that even been an early access game with a lot to work on, it has too much fun in it.
I bought my X thinking on 4K, HDR or 60fps so I'm surprise that a game that doesn't have all of this is the one that is grabbing my attention. There's a lots of choices but battlegrounds is my choice.

8 is fairly accurate for PUBG with major issues that's not even out yet. Not a ridiculous score like a 10 that some review sites have given this game.
