i feel like they should reboot the franchise. the story seems to be going way far off...

-Foxtrot2451d ago

I think exactly the same. Take their time on Horizons sequel, make a new IP (maybe a second team) after, then give us Horizon 3 and the second team can give us a Killzone reboot.

I'd like to see the story be more personal, I'm sick of these types of games having us be some soldier in a team and we head out to defeat the big bad. How about some ordinary everyday guy who was a soldier but is a family man now and one day on a peaceful sunny afternoon in his suburban neighborhood Earth is attacked by the Helghan after things heated up during first contact (ISA wanted to colonize a planet right next to Helghan).

Kallisti2450d ago

Sounds a lot like Resistance 3

Knushwood Butt2450d ago

Shadowfall had a pretty personal story.

Weeblordbad2450d ago

The set up for Shadow Fall was unbelievably stupid, yes let's forcibly evict our citizens and give them like 5 minutes notice...if you're to slow a Helghan might gun you down. Now let's put economic sanctions on these people, we also shouldnt keep an eye on Helghan, nothing could possibly be happening there.

I really love the design of the enemies, weapons, environments etc. The issue lies around almost everything else to varying degree of severity.

VER1ON2450d ago

A reboot seems the way to go, perhaps a prequel.

UCForce2450d ago

I would said Killzone Mercenary sequel, because the game got a good recognition.

RommyReigns2450d ago (Edited 2450d ago )

@UCForce

The best game on the PSVita, Killzone Mercenary was set between Killzone 2 and 3

pwnsause_returns2450d ago

I mean after horizon zero dawn, it's pretty obvious that that they have better storytellers at guerrilla games now, and a game like killzone with very unique intimidating enemies, it deserves a good story.

LexHazard792450d ago

reboot? we got one early this gen.

They should make Killzone 5 for PS5. PS4 is now loaded with fps games... too much of them.

Weeblordbad2450d ago

The PS4 is loaded with all types of games, there is no such thing as to much of anything.

LexHazard792450d ago (Edited 2450d ago )

PS4 is loaded with 3p fps but none to call thier own.

UCForce2449d ago

That's just immature comment.

XiNatsuDragnel2451d ago

Killzone 5 is in the books but take your time

Gardenia2450d ago

I think that's a good think. With the success of Horizon Zero Dawn they showed us they can make more than FPS games. Someday I want another Killzone but for now let them work on other great games

Rimeskeem2451d ago

Wonder what a Killzone open world game would be like?

They have the engine to do something like that but I'm not sure if it's a good idea.

Rimeskeem2450d ago

Ya, after thinking about it I dont think it would be a good idea.

DarXyde2450d ago

Yeah, not everything needs to be open world.

I would forgive you for the suggestion though since this is really the open world generation. Not that open world is an issue in and of itself, I just don't think every developer can do it. Horizon and The Witcher 3 are, in my opinion, the best of them where you have an interesting narrative and varied side quests. It's a tough balance to strike, but, despite Horizon being fantastic, I have no confidence in Guerrilla making an open world Killzone.

subtenko2450d ago

Every game is open world in a way people wouldnt complain if you said "by the way you can go in that direction for miles and miles",

Kallisti2450d ago

They would if there was nothing to do in all those extra miles.

subtenko2450d ago

@Kallisti but they didnt even play it do why would they complain, and why ALL OF A SUDDEN do they change their tune IF there was something to do in the first place? Thought they said they need no open world, but all of a sudden there better be something to do in that open world......but they said they dont want it do regardless why would they be checking it out........

SierraGuy2449d ago (Edited 2449d ago )

Open world is boring and killing gaming in general. So are RPGs. If I wanted to play with menus I'd load up windows on my PC. And Shadowfall was great for the record I enjoyed the campaign and multiplayer...it was the first game that showed off what the PS4 could do at launch.

Garry's Mod Removing All Nintendo Content From Steam Workshop After Takedown Request

The developer of Garry's Mod has announced it is in the process of removing all Nintendo-related content from Steam Workshop after receiving a takedown request from Nintendo.

gurp1d 1h ago

first emulation, now this
even though I don't play Garry's Mod, it is still bad

Inverno1d 1h ago

I was reading it's all just false reports from a troll who's done things like this in the past and not Nintendo themselves.

-Foxtrot15h ago

Well the games creator Gary Newman confirmed it himself on Twitter.

Inverno8h ago

Seems that's still being debated.
