DSOGaming writes: "Aloft Studio is currently working on a retro open-world topdown RPG, inspired by The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, called Hazelnut Bastille. This game has been under development for quite some time and the team has just made its demo available to everyone."
Jakejames Lugo of The Koalition writes: Like many other people, I enjoy and appreciate the gameplay of The Legend of Zelda series, especially the pre-Ocarina of Time era of the franchise. The action, exploration, and puzzle solving provided many hours of excitement and good times that stuck with me and so many other people throughout the years. For some, it became an inspiration to get into game design and create games in the same spirit as that iconic and legendary series. This is the case with Hazelnut Bastille, whose inspiration pulls heavily from games like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
This looks like a cool game that might be worth checking out down the road especially for Zelda fans.
The soundtrack features work from Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta.
Looks more like Secret of Mana to me! edit: gameplay looks like Link to the Past. Same with the music. That girl's narration is AWFUL though. Needs a real narrator, not some breathy, Harry Potter watching fan girl.
Cliqist take a look at the demo for Aloft's old school action RPG Hazelnut Bastille, and get kind of owned in the process.
