Microsoft wants everyone to get a taste of the New Xbox Experience, set to debut on Xbox Live late this fall. They want the experience to be as easy as possible, so they've included an update on their site briefing you on what the update will do, using the nifty New Xbox Experience Dashboard style.
Backward compatibility works for many games on newer consoles, but titles such as The Simpsons: Hit and Run have been left out.

If you really want to know what new features the new update will include, watch the E3 demo they had, it was really informative and outlined some of the major features (Netflix, party system, the new layout, avatars) pretty well.
I still prefer the look of the old one but I need to get a hands-on with the new update
edit:Well the cascading interface on the new one is strange to me.Reminds me of the Mac.If I like it I'll keep it.If not I'll switch back to the old one.
I Experience i now i think i need to throw up ( I am not traying to be a fanboy I JUST DONT LIKE THE NEW KIDDY LOOK OF THE DASHBOARD right before gears 2) and I do own a XBOX 360
If you really don't like the new dashboard then you can just press the guide button and use the blade system right there.
