Exactly. I don't see where people get excited for this game. It reminds me very much of the step down from Onimusha 2 to Onimusha 3.
RE went from a great looking game with prerendered backgrounds on PS1, that pushed that hardware to its limits, to a mediocre looking 3D environment game. Even the way Claire looks and moves in the game is a step down. Her run animations are atrocious and she is bizarrely tall and off looking. People always rush to praise this game and I just don't get it.

And that point when you meet Alfred was the thing that changed the series forever for me. It became that little bit more ridiculous from that point on. People always like to bring up the original RE as having bad dialogue and then you meet Alfred in this game and nobody says anything about it. Hell, when you meet the villain at the start of RE 0 and he opens his mouth and a female opera voice comes out, I die laughing every single time, 10 times more than any of the dialogue in the first game.

And then my biggest gripe of this game. The scene where Steve dies and Claire starts crying, pure character suicide forever. He was an annoying shit for over half of the game, do they really think I, or I am supposed to believe Claire gave THAT much a crap about him at this point? And wasn't he supposed to be 14 or something? It was nearly as bad as what they did to Jill Valentine in RE5. But nowhere near that bad lol.

Oh and I hated the way they recycled RE2 zombie noises too.

I played this on the Dreamcast. If i remember correctly is was first released on that system. Great memories of me throwing that huge Dreamcast controller across the room because of how hard Code: Veronica was.

When was God of War 1 & 2 brought to the PlayStation 4 via desk as a remaster?

The comment is meant in regards to the PlayStation 4 / PlayStation 2 remaster as we've been seeing, not remasters in general as in any platform throughout all of Gaming.

This generation to my understanding we have not seen any of those remasters with physical versions. ie the PS2 remasters that are in 1080P 60 frames with trophies I don't recall having physical disk versions this generation.

@Nap-well I somewhat agree for the most part when Capcom does anything like this they sort of make an announcement of it similar to what you saw with Revelations coming to Xbox One and Playstation 4.

To have such a quiet announcement simply tells me this is a Playstation 2 classic and it should not be regarded the same way they've been making their other remaster I think there's simply tempering expectations which I actually think is the correct method to announce such a thing they don't want people to be confused with their disk-based remasters that they often do.

I also think they don't want people to assume it is bigger than what it is.

Resident Evil 4 would actually be the only one and I don't believe that Resident Evil 4 was simply just the PlayStation 2 1080 P 60 frames with trophies.

Also Resident Evil Zero in 2002 HD we're not PlayStation 2 games and they were not released via PlayStation 2 Classics on PlayStation 4 those get closer to the Remake territory it then I would actually say remaster because the entire 3D backgrounds were created for those games.

Those are not the same as the PlayStation 2 via PlayStation 4 remaster with trophies.

I'm actually doubtful that code Veronica gets a physical release.

I don't even think Resident Evil 4 was ever put under PlayStation 2 Classics in regards to emulation with 1080p 60 frames trophies on PSN.

Capcom remastering Resident Evil 4 was not based on Sony's emulation program...

If Code Veronica is coming on PlayStation Network next week it is very likely there is no physical version and it's probably why they never really announced or said anything major like when they released Resident Evil 4 5 and 6 as a physical games.

Those releases we're not based on Sony's emulation program....

RE4 for PS4 was a remaster. This is simply the ps2 version emulated on PS4 with trophy support. Just like GTA 3,Vice City,San Andreas.

AGREED! With a rockstar bringing a lot of their Library I'm really hoping that outbreak 1 and 2 get the same treatment even the possibility of onimusha series from Capcom.

They could keep it digital-only and lower their cost if it's just going to be straight emulation I'm completely fine with that even though I want a remaster I'll take 1080p 60 frames with trophies.

Yup agreed sadly though if it is just a PS2 port then am 99% certain there would be no online MP for File 2. But I still want both games anyhow.
