Mass Effect Andromeda: All the Issues and Bugs Bioware's Working On

From facial animations to concerns about male/male romances, here are the concerns Bioware's been working on.

Perjoss2590d ago

"We're looking at patching lots of issues and want to strongly support the game moving forward. I can't say more just yet."

Maybe I'm just overthinking it but this seems to be worded very cleverly, saying that you 'want' to fix something is very different from saying you are 'going' to fix it. I really do hope they don't give up and at least spend some resources into fixing some of the biggest issues as I'd quite like to play ME:A once its been patched up some.

joab7772590d ago

I think that they know it wont be easy and havnt figure out exactly how they are gonna go about it, so dont wanna promise anything. Do I think it will contually be patched? Yeah. I do. And once it is, this will be a really good game. Because it is damn good already. It is Mass Effect through and through but on a much larger, more beautiful scale. I just wanna get home and play it!

GtR35olution2590d ago

I have mass effect Andromeda and i think its an amazing game. It has a few iccups but its not game breaking or to a degree to warrant all the hate. I was a bit nervous about playing after hearing a lot of negative reports but im more than 14 hours into playing and theres been barely any issues.

LamerTamer2590d ago (Edited 2590d ago )

In other words "we released an early access game to meet an unrealistic release date and get your money sooner" . We will eventually release the final complete version, too bad for those without internet or wanted a finished physical copy, suckers!

Maybe they should have fixed "All the Issues and Bugs" BEFORE releasing the game.

thekhurg2590d ago

It's time to put away the "those without Internet" crutch.

Yui_Suzumiya2590d ago

I currently don't have internet though :(

LamerTamer2589d ago (Edited 2589d ago )

Not a crutch. 100% of gamers are not connected. Then you have those without fast internet, in which these huge patches can take hours even days. Then there is the fact that these patches won't be online forever, when pulled you only own the (broken) game actually on the disc.

The only ones using a crutch are these studios who use the internet crutch to be able to rush out garbage sooner then fix/finish later. It is great for them, they don't need so many testers. They get us chumps to pay THEM $60.00 each to test their junk for them, what a deal!

Gamist2dot02590d ago

In other words, this is what happens when EA own us and didn't provide us the right funding needed to deliver the game properly.

Critic4l_Strik32590d ago

If they fix all those issues we've seen..its gonna be a big fat patch for sure...but still, that's lots and lots of hours to fix the terrible animations. Cant believe they released it like this. Was a college student the animation supervisor by any chance?

bloop2590d ago

Not a college student, but a cosplay model with no previous experience. And that's not a joke!!!

Critic4l_Strik32590d ago (Edited 2590d ago )

Wait...what? you gotta be freakin kidding me

bloop2590d ago

Yep, Foxtrot posted this on another article. It definitely explains a lot.

RavageX2590d ago

Who the hell does this on a game this big? This would be fine for a small game but come on!!!!! I knew something had to be going on.

LamerTamer2589d ago

Yeah the game is shit and I blame EA.

FPS_D3TH2589d ago

That came out as untrue fyi. Bioware commented on it after she was wrongfully targeted by pathetic scum.

Where as in a perfect world, they would "patch" all the issues in the game. Realistically, if we are lucky, they will address some of the more, I'd think, easier aspects...

The animation may very well be, the animation - and we are going to be stuck with it. However, the clear lack of diversity in the Character Creator, only screams laziness. I managed to make a character I like, but in terms of the male aspects:
1. No beards? What?
2. Why are the eyebrows in a refusal to change colour? It limits the crazier side of things...

This game is ambitious, but in truth, it feels like a beta from its lack of polish. It's an unfortunate stain on the name, despite still delivering a good title. I'm not sure what went on behind the scenes, but if they can properly support Andromeda and fix our complaints at a reasonable degree. Then there's hope AN2 could be fantastic.

Five Game Products Rushed Too Quickly

A little more time in the oven would've done these products some good a lot sooner.

Sega Saturn made it but not the 360. Don't remember Saturn having a horrid rrod rate. Absolutely horrid

The launch games were all right, but look at how Virtua Fighter and Daytona USA compared to their re-releases.

Mass Effect Companions, Ranked from Worst to Best

From Xfire: "BioWare's Mass Effect franchise took gamers on a fascinating universal sci-fi journey that will never be forgotten. While fighting against the ever-looming threat of the Reapers was central to Mass Effect's storyline, what made the series so iconic was its vast and diverse cast of characters.

Not only do these companions accompany Commander Shepard as you make your way through hell and back, but, throughout your journey, you also get to learn who these characters were and are and what they think about what it is that you are doing. Some will even fall in love with you, and others will even become your enemy based on your decision."

sourOG1078d ago

When I looked at the list I thought they were saying Garrus was the worst lol. And tali being so far down the list was fighting words for me. But the numbered list is just the order they are shown so you are forgiven.

CYALTR1077d ago

I think they listed them from worst to best. Also keep in mind that this includes Andromeda characters that aren't part of the remastered trilogy. Interesting refresh on the characters though.

sourOG1077d ago

They did but I didn’t realize it until I started reading. That’s just the order they are shown.

Knightofelemia1078d ago (Edited 1078d ago )

I couldn't stand Miranda I could never like her as a character and I always skipped Jacob and James. I always liked Grunt, Jack, Legion, Tali, Garrus, Samara, Liara, Wrex, Edi, Zaeed, Kasumi I always use these characters. Using Martin Sheen as the Illusive Man just fits the character like using Keith David as Admiral Anderson was another good choice always feels like Goliath from Gargoyles is yelling at you which I like.

Rebel_Scum1076d ago

Kinda weird having a question mark at the end of that sentence?

Soy1076d ago

Garrus is best space bro.

Mass Effect: Andromeda in 2021

Zahi AR. from Link Cable Gaming writes “Welcome back Link Cable Gaming fans, with me in andromeda. Specifically, Mass Effect: Andromeda in 2021. With the recent announcement of Anthem shutting down its future plans, I wanted to look at another recent BioWare game. My switch to a PlayStation 5 destroyed my save file right while I was at the end. So, I decided to do a fresh start on the new console to see just how well (or not) it’s been since launch. How has the new generation of hardware treated the game that fell from grace? Should you play Mass Effect: Andromeda in 2021? Let’s find out.”

Such a good game! It got a 4K X1X upgrade and it looks fantastic! Also like the story! Was playing it again before Series X dropped. Going to download it for the Series X, as soon as I have more room on my HD. Playing too many other games right now.

Instant resume is AMAZING! I can Switch between 5 games in seconds. Like 10 to 15 at the most! No closing a game and opening another one! Thank you Microsoft!

giovonni1143d ago

It’s was decent to me. I didn’t feel the magic I felt when I played two or even three. I don’t know. It was repetitive, and the worlds felt bland.

jeromeface1142d ago

There's a reason it reviewed so poorly in the first place... these reasons among others.

anast1143d ago

I had a lot of fun with this game, but I haven't played 2 or 3 yet.

giovonni1142d ago

2 was wonderful, three was just as good as two the ending though 🤦🏾‍♂️

Wintersun6161142d ago

I finally gave it a go last autumn and was amazed by how bad a game can be. And believe me my expectations were low. After 10ish hours I just had to give up.

giovonni1142d ago

I powered through it, myself. It was just repetitive, and the Land Rover Exploration wasn’t interesting at all. The story also we mahhhhhhh.
