UFO should be applauded for offering a full retail release of The Monkey King, but Nintendojo can't recommend a purchase in good conscience, even if it were a five dollar download. The Monkey King is monkey crap.
BT: Everyone loves a good adrenaline rush. We love challenging ourselves, playing against large handicaps and overcoming vastly superior odds. We like proving to ourselves and to each other that we truly are the best of the best. Games allow us to do this to our hearts content, presenting us with hundreds of impossible situations that normal people would never find themselves in, and allowing them to live out fantastical events without actually having to put their lives on the line to enjoy them.
But other times, a person might not want a high action, adrenaline-charged, shoot-em-up adventure. Sometimes you feel lazy. Sometimes, people feel lazy and don’t want to work out their minds or their fingers. So, let’s take a look at ten games that you can play without paying much attention at all, for those times when you just don’t want to commit or want to multitask.
I know Shiren the Wanderer isn't on that list....
They obviously played the game on easy mode.. 7_7
I had good memories with Pokemon Snap. Just relaxing with the great music and taking pictures.
A Pokemon Snap sequel would be amazing. With heaps more chapters and Pokemon to take photos of!

XBL Radio writes: "Appearances can sometimes be deceiving, especially when it comes to the front cover of a video game. I felt this way as soon as i saw the case cover art for a game on the Wii called "The Monkey King: The Legend Begins". I thought I was going to end up with a game similar to God of War, kind of like a hack and slash type of deal, oh boy was I wrong. This is an old school 2D side scrolling shooting game, but it is mediocre at best. Anyways, let us get right to the review, shall Wii."
Yahoo Games writes:
"The Monkey King isn't a terrible game, and at its budget price (it's going for 15 bucks most places now) it might still make a worthwhile stocking stuffer this season for shooter fans, who probably own lots of classics from the genre in downloaded Virtual Console form but have few, if any, physical disc games rounding out that library. And it also boasts a simultaneous two-player co-op mode, which certain tag-teams of shooter players are always on the lookout for. But overall, it's a poor effort that needed a lot more polish, and less last-minute presentation changes. I really wish they'd stuck with that original art."
