Have Nintendo learnt enough from past mistakes to ensure the NX's success?

Alex Gibson from IGcritic writes "For Nintendo, everything now rides on the NX being a success, and 2017 is destined to be the most consequential year in the company's history. The real question is whether Nintendo has learnt enough from their past mistakes to ensure the Nintendo NX is going have the tools to become a critical and financial success."

Lets think about it logically. Every NES has been lacking since n64 and theyve had bad third party support for over two decades so i would say the NX will be a failure. Some NES fanatics like to pretend that the wii u is an amazing console and even will go as far as saying its better than the ps3, x360, ps4 and xbox one (proper belly laugh). Wii u is rubbish and i knew it would be because the wii was rubbish as well as the gamecube. The sales of the NES NX will never catch the sales of the rumoured ps4 neo by the time its released next year march imo.

I disagree with the wii u being garbage, it has good games.

0 faith tbh. Cant believe the Wii U isnt getting Zelda until next year. Stick to Amiibos Nintendo

I think they are just too niche and people (like myself) don't want to fork out 400$ just to play 1 or two games by Nintendo. They should either focus on games and bring them out on other consoles, or make their consoles more mainstream with the benefit of Nintendo titles.

Nintendo said they will never allow their IPs be on another console. They will get out of business before that happens.

So surprised they aren't going to give more info at E3. If they launch that console via a direct then that's a joke..

They are going to have a big event. They always do. Depending on how big they going is the marketing.

The answer is no. Be it success or failure Nintendo has always done it the way they want -- yes they are arrogant especially fil aims( hate that guy) but I think one of the reason Nintendo stayed relevant so long is they don't follow a trend.
