I think they are just too niche and people (like myself) don't want to fork out 400$ just to play 1 or two games by Nintendo. They should either focus on games and bring them out on other consoles, or make their consoles more mainstream with the benefit of Nintendo titles.
So surprised they aren't going to give more info at E3. If they launch that console via a direct then that's a joke..
The answer is no. Be it success or failure Nintendo has always done it the way they want -- yes they are arrogant especially fil aims( hate that guy) but I think one of the reason Nintendo stayed relevant so long is they don't follow a trend.
