For all the games announced so far for VR platforms, my most anticipated are games that haven't yet been confirmed for VR, No Man's Sky and Alien Isolation. I get that indy devs will be the ones primarily suporting VR at it's launch, but we also need big named titles in order to make VR a really viable platform for the evolution of gaming.

At the moment (especially looking at that last and others) it seems that at the moment, VR is just a platform for indy games. Where are the Call of Dutys and GTAV's? For example, with John Carman so heavily involved in Occulus I'm surprised there hasn't been talk of DoomVR.

Well lets hope VR can find it's "killer app," if not it may end as just an indy platform for niche VR experiences; and I don't think anyone wants that.

Im glad your speaking for yourself. Lets be realistic though, if your expecting gtav and COD level of games your fooling yourself and we wont see those types for awhile. Ppl will buy VR initially not for those types games but for the immersive experience it offers.

My most anticipated is Rigs and Valkyrie, add London Heist to that and im good until the more advanced games come.

My thing is that with all the pc master race and bs about better vr games on pc i havent seen anything out of the vive or oculus camp better than "Rigs" or London, im not adding Valkyrie because its on PSVR too. Alot of the stuff i seen coming for Vive looks garbage imo.

You can already play GTA5 and Alien Isolation on the Rift. Along with all the Dooms that are released. Already basically 100s of games out now that are Rift compatible.

A game produced with vr in mind as oppossed to a game not created with vr in mind and used with vr are two wholly different experiences. Its like all the movies made in 3d being far superior to movies not made witb 3d tech being played in 3d. Im good, ill pass. That immersion isnt there. Options are good but kess be serioys it isnt the same thing.

They still work great in VR no matter if the support is official or not. Just go watch some of the vids on youtube of people playing them and loving how they work in VR. Saying the immersion isn't there is just plain wrong. The Rift software has been out for a long time and doesn't need the original developers of the games to get it working great. Countless games are working amazing with the Rift already.

I don't care that I sound like a dirty pig. But I cant wait to see what the porn industry is going to to with this.

What a time to be alive. The some porn producers have been making some 360 video so far though you can check those

I agree mike these games are all lackluster, pathetic looking, more like tech demos, not interested in them at all, the real heavy hitters will be the horror games, vorpx enabled titles, with all these games their showing so far for vive and rift, im starting to regret and second think cancelling my pre-order, we need games like dreadhalls, with beautiful visuals, official vr support on major current titles like the forest, etc.

Gotta admit that one yugioh game palmer mentioned has me SUPER excited, that's always been a dream of mine

Those games are coming. People just have to be patient. Top of the line games aren't going to happen overnight.

People are saying PSVR is underpowered but you don't see Call of Duty, GTA, etc announced for PC because those games aren't made from the ground up VR games. In order for those games to be made on PC, Sony has to be successful in launching their headset. Spending millions of dollars on a small amount of gamers who have top of the line rigs is not smart for developers yet.Star Citizen is the only game I see that has a high budget that's not on console. But was funded by gamers. Not by a publisher.

Developers need to start small and work their way up. Use some profits from other successful games to fund VR games. Then, when there is a large base of gamers across the board with Vive, Oculus and PSVR,etc, start making bigger games. And retooling some current games if it makes sense and will work in VR.

But things like this are

https://www.youtube.com/wat...

are just early starts on VR's future. I started playing games with text. Then it was basic stuff like pong,in television, coleco,Nintendo, etc. It took years to get what we see today. Patience is a virtue. But it's sad when gamers think shorter, smaller experiences can't be fun too. It's to add to your gaming fun.Not be the only fun. Play those other regular games inbetween VR games.

It could be free and it wouldn't matter at this point. There isn't really a PCVR Market and I say that as a PCVR user. It is modders and enthusiasts with a few retail products on Steam.
