Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 is Just a Glitchy, Disappointing Mess

A new Tony Hawk Pro Skater game has come out after years being dormant and it is...really bad. Like, fascinatingly bad and Twitter is all over its case.

I am the biggest THPS you'll ever meet, but this game always looked like a disaster from the beginning. A couple days ago when we found out that Activsion wouldn't send review copies early made it all too clear that this was nothing but garbage from the get-go.

So sad, but at least we have 9 amazing Neversoft games to play in the series.

In this day and age, how does this happen.

It happens when devs dont have the balls to delay a game they know is not finished. I mean its not like this was their blockbuster release for the holidays, it would have been ok to put it off til it was done.

And didnt they change the whole visual style or something like a month ago? That set alarm bells ringing right there.

People who hate on the THPS series don't understand that pure genius of it all, and that pure genius was brought on from NEVERSOFT! Robomodo is GARBAGE and Activison refuses to let them DIE!

In this day and age where game studios are constantly closing down, you would think a four-time failure studio like Robomodo wouldn't be around anymore. Ugh.

First of all the game shouldn't have been 60 dollars. Second, how the heck is the day one patch larger than the whole game? Third, why the heck are the graphics worse that THPSHD? Tony Hawk should really stop putting his name on this mess. And Activision should be boycotted. This is ridiculous. I was so looking forward to this game. But I will NOT support them playing games with my childhood. I have never in all my life seen such a half-arsed effort. Certainly not on such a famous franchise...

It's genuinely bad. I still play THPS 2, and this game doesn't come close to it, even if they were released at the same time.

Another broken unfinished game.
I have been a gamer for over 30 years and If it were not for great Finished games like Shovel Knight Resident Evil HD and Metal Gear Solid 5 I would go completely retro.

MGS V has had a lot of story cut from release, more than just mission 51.

MGS V is relatively glitch-free, so it feels "finished" in terms of gameplay but the game concept was rushed to meet its release date. :(

THUG 3! instead of wasting time on this garbage, they could have focused on Tony Hawk Underground 3. but no. they choose to waste who knows how much valuable time and resources and focus on this instead.
