Halo 5 will be my life until Fallout 4 and Battlefront 3 and then on and off until Halo wars 2. Just looks phenomenal

ninsigma3151d ago

Can't wait for halo 5! The beta was freakin awesome!

Sonital3151d ago

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for Battlefront but I'm not expecting Battlefront 3.

NukaCola3150d ago

Fallout 4 is pretty much going to be my game until I beat it and then I'll play catch up.

Genuine-User3151d ago (Edited 3151d ago )

Uncharted Collection, Halo 5 and Tomb Raider should suffice until next year.

ninsigma3151d ago

I'm swapping out tr for dragon quest heroes then get tr on the pc when it releases. Just bought tearaway unfolded today as well as being knee deep in destiny. Busy end of year for me! And that's not including games I could get off my gf for birthday in November and for Xmas (she has a list :p ). Busy end of year for me! :D

Genuine-User3151d ago

Nice. Tearaway Unfolded is absolutely fantastic.

To many games to play, I might get Just Cause 3 in December.

ninsigma3151d ago

I played the original on the vita and loved. Definitely in the top 5 for that device. Then read that there's a good load extra stuff in the ps4 version so it was a no brainer :D
Not in to just cause (never played em) but probably a good thing with the amount that I already have to play! I nearly forgot about the bloodborne expansion. That is without a doubt being played too! Probably a good thing I decided against battlefront because I really wouldn't have time for it!

Genuine-User3150d ago (Edited 3150d ago )

I played it first on the Vita as well. It's my favourite game on the system.

If it wasn't for Halo 5, I would have bought Battlefront.

I think I've had enough of Bloodborne for now, I'll get the expansion next year.

gangsta_red3151d ago

I would replace Uncharted Collection with Fallout 4 and I would say those three games will have you covered until the middle of next year. Heck, maybe for the next two years, HA!

Genuine-User3150d ago (Edited 3150d ago )

That's cool. Uncharted is my favourite trilogy from last gen so that's a must have for me.

But I agree, Fallout 4 and halo 5 will have most of us covered till early next year.

gangsta_red3150d ago (Edited 3150d ago )

I hear ya, it's just that I played them (Uncharted) all before so it wouldn't be something I would go back to again. Especially when there are new games coming out.

Going to spend $210+ on halo 5 and the elite controller :/

ninsigma3151d ago

I have the elite controller pre ordered as well! I forgot about that! So 100 for halo special edition or whatever it's called and 140 for elite controller. Yikes! Sorry wallet!

Masterchief_thegoat3151d ago

great choice you had made @slate91 halo 5 is going be fun

S2Killinit3151d ago (Edited 3151d ago )

Dragon Quest Heros and Disegea 5, will take most of my time.

They should do this list for every month.

Letthewookiewin3150d ago

I went with Uncharted, Disgaea 5 and Tales of Zestria. I'm swamped.

S2Killinit3150d ago (Edited 3150d ago )

I will get Uncharted as well. I missed Uncharted 3 last gen.

Automatic793151d ago

Halo 5, transformers devastation and Elite Dangerous. I gotta save some money for Tomb Raider in November.

Underrated that's debatable.

chicken_in_the_corn168d ago

One of the most overrated imo. A big step backwards from Unity.

Relientk77168d ago

I loved Syndicate! I played this game mostly as Evie because of her stealth abilities and loved using a cane sword.

Uncharted, Not The Last of Us, is Naughty Dog’s True Backbone

The Last of Us is easily Naughty Dog's most popular IP, but Uncharted deserves as much praise if not more for being its guinea pig all the while.

...and here I was thinking it was Way of the Warrior. All the mo-cap they cut their teeth on to refine their skills later for such things like Uncharted and LoU.

As a fun little side project... I'd love to see them take a crack at Way of the Warrior 2.

specialguest272d ago

Way of the Warrior was impressive looking on video game magazines. I remember wishing I could play it on the 3DO. So many years later I finally got to see the gameplay on the internet and it was complete trash 😂. Nothing like MK

anast273d ago

Both great IPs, some of the best in gaming.

jznrpg273d ago (Edited 273d ago )

Can’t it be that all of their games are their backbone? Who cares anyway as long as they make good games I’ll buy them.

MIDGETonSTILTS17273d ago

I loved Uncharted 2, and none of the others compare IMO.

Fluke_Skywalker273d ago

I recently replayed them all and I used to think 2 was the best but now I'd definitely say 4 is the best. Not that there's much in it, they're all amazing. But 4 is the best.

-Foxtrot272d ago

Nah

Uncharted 2 had better pacing, Elena and Sully were featured far more, Nadine was an awful villain compared to Harry Flynn and it also had a fantastic multiplayer on top where Uncharted 4 ruined it making it into an over the top arcade shooter with gimmicks.

MIDGETonSTILTS17272d ago

I liked the expansion to 4 more than 4 itself. 4 was great for me too, did alotta new stuff…

But….

SPOILERS

Nothing beats the unexpected twist at the end of 2.

mastershredder273d ago

I liked it when the games were fun and ridiculous, not the sooty TV-caliber dramas that use Uncharted as a foundation.

TricksterArrow273d ago

I like both types of games. The great thing about games is how diverse they can be and how I can pop in whatever fills my mood at any given time.

Espangerish273d ago

I agree. Uncharted 4 was the least fun. Preferred the simpler fun focussed older versions

Master Chief Became More Than A Machine In 343's Halo

In Halo 4, 5, and Infinite, Master Chief became a more nuanced, human character.

In spite of the Halo series’ struggles, 343 deserves praise for adding nuance and characterisation to the ever-beating heart of Halo - The Master Chief. Playing through Infinite, it's abundantly clear that the events of the current and previous trilogies have irrevocably changed the iconic hero. He’s no longer the ‘blank slate’ that was previously presented by Bungie. He’s a fatigued, damaged and fallible protagonist, and one who is meandering through currents of grief, while reveling in his newfound agency. Giving the Chief a compelling and meaningful voice was no small feat, and 343 should be proud of that victory.

This article completely misses part of the appeal of the original iteration of character in the original game trilogy. It was the Chief and Cortana vs an entire alien collective. The blank slate Bungie displayed in their games was genius, he was an mysterious hero a wide audience could identify with because he wasn't as clearly defined as most characters.

The books added a lot of lore and backstory but most Halo players just want a fun game with exposition that doesn't get in the way of gameplay, it's why the Cortana level in Halo 3 was derided.

Not every character has to be a damaged soyboy, a soldier has to suck it up and do his duty.

BandarHub425d ago

A lot of people give the 343 version of Master Chief a lot of slack.
But Fundamentally he is still the same character, he just has a couple more dialogues. He has not changed in terms of attitude.
"Not every character has to be a damaged soyboy, a soldier has to suck it up and do his duty."
And that's what he has done at the end of the day, he did his duty. Watch his partner die, and was ready to destroy the weapon in Halo infinite....he is still the same soilder that everyone remembers

Halo Infintes one was a nice balance between both.

slate91426d ago

Chief and the halo franchise became a joke under 343

Sciurus_vulgaris425d ago

The 343i Master Chief has is based on the books. However, in Halo 4-Infinite, the Master Chief overtime become. gradually becomes more willing to show some emotion.

Obscure_Observer425d ago

"However, in Halo 4-Infinite, the Master Chief overtime become. gradually becomes more willing to show some emotion."

Which is awesome! I love how Master Chief become more John and less soldier.
