Idea Factory has released a Tokyo Game Show 2015 trailer for its upcoming PS Vita visual novel Bad Apple Wars.
In Bad Apple Wars you play as the heroine Rinka who awakes from death after an accident in Nevaeh School and has to choose between the school’s good disciplinarian fraction or the Bad Apples. Depending on the selected side, you can capture different characters and also the story will have a different outcome.
In the years since Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom made its English debut in 2012, otome games have enjoyed a surge of popularity worldwide. The genre went from an unknown to one that received multiple releases on various platforms each year. Sony handhelds have long been a haven for such titles, with people who own a Vita enjoying the fruits of this bevy of releases.
Say hello to the latest otome game on the block and this time around its those folks over at Idea Factory who are treating us. For those unaware, an otome is a style of visual novel aimed at a primarily female audience and usually featuring romance of sorts. Don't be turned off though if that doesn't sound to your tastes. There's often a little more beneath the surface when it comes to a good visual novel.

I'm digging the music and the character design kind of reminds me of Steins; Gate. Think I'll have to keep an eye on this, looks interesting.
