Cliff Bleszinski's LawBreakers - Worth getting excited about?

MWEB GameZone writes: "LawBreakers looks anything but exceptional. Generic? Yes.

But we can't say just yet that LawBreakers will not bring anything worth your time to the F2P, FPS online market. CliffyB's rep carries too much weight to discard what he's doing; especially this early in development.

We can say that he chose a very difficult market to succeed in."

Not a fan of first-person shooters. More of a beat-em-up guy myself.

All i saw is CGI trailer, how the F* i would be excited about that?.

Fishy Fingers3178d ago

Live action trailer with some CG overlay. Corny as it was and the fact I hate live action trailers aside, I'm still interested to see the actual gameplay.

Nodoze3178d ago

The fact that it was live action sets off some alarm bells. If the game is shaping up show us in engine footage. A live action cgi trailer helps explain the story/setting but gameplay will be the real test. So even with this we really still have not seen much of anything.

Im holding off any judgement until after i've seen a lot of gameplay, maybe even after i tried it myself (as it is f2p anyway).

For me, its all about the feel of the FPS. If the movement and shooting feels good, that will be a great step in the right direction.

I'm not excited for it seems generic to me.

The elevator trailer lol as I call it

Why would we support a person who said consoles are on their way out in favor of mobile games.

die_fiend3178d ago

Free to play, horrific graphics, zero charm and Cliffy B? Consider me out!

F2p and FPS, not a fan of either categories, so nope.

Hey, if Gigantic can garner enough attention it can happen for LawBreakers too. Funny thing is that both would share a similar story if going multiplatform:

-Gigantic remained Xbox One/PC until closure
-LawBreakers remained PS4/PC until closure

Oh shit, it's actually happening? This game was pretty dope. Shame the marketing was shit-tier.

Walalon24d ago

Yeah, the marketing side for this game was Uber Trash. But the gameplay was awesome
