Gary Green said: With my fondness for (most) Final Fantasy games and my side goal of finishing off games in my collection with loose ends, a return to Final Fantasy XV seemed inevitable. It also serves as my third Final Fantasy platinum trophy after VII and VIII, a reasonable substitute since Final Fantasy IX is nigh on impossible to master.
Final Fantasy 15's director has revealed why he left Square Enix back in 2018.
Hajime Tabata famously resigned from Square Enix two years after Final Fantasy 15 shipped in 2016. In a special livestream at the time, Tabata announced his decision to resign from the company, cancelling three of four new story-focused DLC episodes for Final Fantasy 15 in the process.
Man inherited a train wreck and was expected to release this game in under two years after it spent a better part of a decade in development hell. At one point there was even plans to make FFXIII Versus a musical. He did what he could.
Whatever the behind-the-scenes went on over the many years, at the end of the day it was a radical change in direction that I could not go along with. Also why I never bought 16.
Maybe I am just bad, but I cannot connect attacks. Other than that I like it, Xbone demo has very bad graphics when looking far away, very jaggy, and fps drops.
My evaluation would be... Agro. agro agro agro. Seriously need to make it so that when your already fighting one group you can't agro the whole map.
The camera and dodge systems need to be redone. Mobs are unmanageable and with the near non-stop monster spawn rate, it's really irritating. Magitek soldiers are a pain for all the wrong reasons.
LOD needs to be fixed, looking around the world in the distance looks blurry, like forgetting to wear your glasses blurry.
I have no problem at all in battles. You just have to get good at the new system.
Things I would change:
Being able to zoom the camera out and back in when need be. So you can pull out and see a smaller Noctis running around.
Including the "descend" weapon in the combos somehow. That weapon barely gets used because not often are you jumping and attacking.
Maybe make it a little easier to die once your HP hits 0. It's too easy to just fix yourself with a potion at 0 HP.
The ability to start running/sprinting then being able to push a button that keeps you in sprint mode so you dont have to hold the buttons down to sprint. It's kind of hard to explain but most mmo's have this feature.
That's all I can remember off the top of my head without playing.
