There were a bunch of titles that could have been fantastic from the seventh generation of games consoles, and yet so many of them failed. Here's just five of the ones that really shouldn't have faltered.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was actually really good I would add Remember Me, and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West absolutely loved those games
I took a chance with Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and I'm glad I did.
I hear a lot of good things about Alpha Protocol and Binary Domain. Never played them though, there were just to many other games out around that time. Sega really knows how to screw their own pooch.
Haze should be on the list as it killed Free Radical in the process and now we no longer get Time Splitters games :-(
I had fun with Space Marine right when PS PLUS started to give away games weekly. Finished it in 2 or 3 nights after work, pretty cool.
KOA and Blur were awesome games, highly unappreciated. Alpha Protocol however was awful. Even if you could ignore the game breaking bugs, the controls were awful, story dreadful, voice acting very very low rate. It was Obsidians game to prove they could develop a good game and once again it was awful and bug filled like all their other games.
Those games were okay. It's just that when you compare them to the competition that they fall apart.
Some good games on that list. Alpha Protocol had some brilliant elements to it. The concept was excellent as well. A revisit to that idea would be outstanding.
