Uncharted 4: The One PS4 Exclusive That Cannot Miss

It's the one exclusive game on the horizon that needs to showcase the PS4's power and capability. If this one falls short, the PS4 could be in trouble.

It's Naughty Dog, and I don't need to mention who's directing this, do I? Additionally, Uncharted 4 is basically a celebration of ND's 30th anniversary. This game couldn't fail if it tried.

I'm amazed how far this franchise has gone. It has really stapled itself at the high ranks in the gaming industry. I'm really hoping the game offers an amazing experience just like Among Thieves did when I first played it. I'm curious to know what will happen after this final game. Will they introduce a new franchise that will fill in the cinematic action/adventure spot that this series currently is in?

Well they missed on graphics the last two releases after they were downgraded prior to release when compared to what was shown at E3.

I just don't see how anyone can claim Uncharted 4 to be TOGY, setting new standards, etc... when all you've seen is a trailer that's a cut-scene. Not one screenshot or clip showing actual gameplay exists. I'd hate to be ND considering the hype machine is setting the bar so high, they're going to have a tough time reaching it.

It's laughable that someone took the time to actually create those images, and doubly laughable that people like you that obviously haven't played the game post them as factual. There has never been a downgrade in a ND game, even TLOU running on a pc build at the first reveal was pretty much exactly what was released. Hopefully that trend continues, although I don't see any reason why it wouldn't as ND have the capability and talent to actually hit those marks, and the ethics to not try to convey something that they can't properly achieve.

My #1 game next year. Neil I believe in you. I can comfortably say that after playing the masterpiece that is TLoU. If you watch that video of how ND made TLoU then you know these guys are the best IMO.

Other that that, you would have to go back to before Crash Bandicoot when they made 3 games for Apple, Megadrive and 3DO to find a bad game from them.

Way of the Warrior for 3DO in 1994. It is not a bad game but just a avg game with mixed reaction. But that is when they are just a startup company and their next game is Crash Bondicoot on PSX. Yea, it has been that long.

The worst one that I've played was Jak 2 and I didn't like it due to the horrid mandatory racing segments. The rest were great though.

If I had to pick a favorite I would say classic Jak and Daxter. My second favourite was that Daxter game for PSP.

Uncharted 2 you should play. 1 and 3 you can skip. The series as whole is just average too good. With UC2 being great. UC2 i played threw multiple times and enjoyed the multiplayer as well. I can't get overly excited for a hand holding, set piece, button prompt, cinematic game however. I hope it has great puzzles, good game play and good multiplayer. The first 3 Uncharted games all have had those first things on my list that I described, but not those last things. holding out hope.

Uncharted 1 is awesome and was the first game to truly showcase "next-gen" when the PS3 came out. Uncharted 2 is an epic masterpiece and an instant classic.

Uncharted 3.... yeah, you can skip that one. It's awful with so many plot holes, ZERO character development (whereas Uncharted 2 had amazing character development), horrible melee gameplay and bullet sponge enemies, bad pacing and bad controls (although fixed 98% later)... The action was great, like a blockbuster movie, but other than that, it really is a not-so-good game, and that's because it has its moments that save it from becoming a BAD game.

Yeah I don't think you should skip any of them. Play them in order and really get to experience this story. Uncharted 2 is my favorite still, but UC1 is phenomenal and UC3 has the best set action set pieces in any game that I have ever played.

Don't pay any attention to those other posters saying that 1 & 3 aren't worth playing…both of those games might not necessarily be the best in the series, but they are still head & shoulders above 99% of the games that were released in the last gen, and they have the scores to back that up. I just wish I could play them for the first time all over again in order, you will have some great gaming ahead of you if/when they release the collection. I'm hoping it'll be released by around spring or summer with early access to an Uncharted 4 demo. Sounds feasible to me.

Easy guys, theyre not actually immortal Gods you know. A game is just a product that has to be developed in a collaboration with many people people. Theres a lot that go wrond no matter how much talent is on board.

Even if its technically sound, theres story, characters, pacing. All of that is subjective and not everyone will like it.

Of course, history is a great indicator so I have no worries it will be a fantastic game for me at least, I'm just not ready to start handing out game of the generation titles yet before weve even seen one frame of gameplay.

I have never played an ND game I did not love, even Crash Team Racing was amazing. I would fake illnesses to stay home from school to play that game. This is my second most anticipated title, only slightly behind Persona 5.

Naughty dog is on another level. I remember back in the day ND and Insomniac used to be neck and neck and ND is heads and shoulder above. I can't wait to see what UC4 looks like. I hope it has MP also.
