Hard to believe they'll be showing this off next month?
I thought Playstation Experience was for 2015 titles or was that 2015* titles?

Abriael3446d ago

I doubt they'll "show" it, but since they're there we might get a tease, unless they're going to PlayStation Experience to show First light which has been out for a while already.

Conzul3445d ago

I'll bet they're wrapping up SS DLC with the 3rd conduit.
What's his name? The hologram guy.

But if I'm honest, I'd much rather have Augustine's life story, even in a full-length game. So much more interesting than Delsin's, IMO.

That, or go back to Cole already damn it Sucker Punch!

Or hell, maybe even a new IP?!? ND moved to M territory in style - why don't YOU give it a shot?

lemoncake3446d ago

Aye I wouldn't expect another sucker punch game for at least two years maybe even three, anything less and I woud wonder about its quality.

Conzul3445d ago (Edited 3445d ago )

Except now with a simpler dev environment (PS4 vs PS3) I expect in-house to get either faster, prettier, or both.

I think I prefer them pushing visual fidelity at a rock solid 30fps if that is the trade off they have to make.

As long as it's 1080p it's cool. 1080p has made quite a big difference this gen. The image looks so smooth and crisp on a 1080p display

my mind is always boggled by how silly this question is.

It was a joke..

Nvm just read your name

AliTheSnake13446d ago

Because then, You will complain that graphics are not "nextgen" enough.

thricetold3446d ago

Truth. This is what burns me with gamers, mostly new gen'ers. They couldn't wait to jump to "nextgen" when all we are getting is prettier pixels with the same boring ass gameplay.

You CAN'T have both on consoles. They love bringing up tlou, which imo has the same limited gameplay as most other games. They couldn't even add the clickers in mp for crying out loud. All so players can ooh and ahh for the first hour.

That new car smell doesn't last forever and when it wears off you're stuck with a mediocre game that looks pretty. Wake the f up GAMERS.

I think SoM is the only game trying to do more than pretty pixels with it's advanced Ai. Hey devs, why don't you think about improving YOUR ai instead of adding worthless particle effects that don't add anything but an ooh factor?

JackVagina3446d ago

Did you even read the article or even the title?? -_-

sony fans be like :

30 FPS meh....

ps4 master race

StormLegend3446d ago

30fps or 60fps it makes no difference to me. I just wanna see the game!

1nsomniac3446d ago

Intelligent bubble for you sir. Something lacking from here these days.

GodGinrai3446d ago

@1nsomniac

I think you are confusing intelligence with enthusiasm.

MsmackyM3446d ago (Edited 3446d ago )

I guess If you're playing an interactive movie then it really don't matter. But then again why did so many people buy the Last of Us again a year later if 60fps don't matter? There's no logic to fanboy logic.

Silly gameAr3446d ago

Yeah, it seems to be a prety good amount of fanboys in here, and I doubt most of them are here because they're excited to see a new game from Sucker Punch.

callahan093445d ago

I agree completely. I am enjoying Sunset Overdrive right now, and if you had asked me what framerate the game runs in I would have said "How the hell should I know?" All I know is it feels smooth, fast, and fun to play. Traversing the terrain in that game is one of the smoothest and most fun experiences I've had in this sort of game. I Google'd it, incidentally, and the game runs at 30fps. Truly makes no difference to me, because I couldn't tell that it wasn't 60fps, and the game feels GREAT to play/control to me. Infamous could be 30fps and have improved graphics, and I'd still love it. Prettier, but I'm sure I wouldn't mind the framerate being halved at all *AS LONG AS IT IS ROCK SOLID*.

Illusive_Man3446d ago

PS5 and Xbox TWO will probably regularly output all games at 1080p/60 but let's cut this nonsense out...PS4 is not that machine. It is just not powerful enough.

Forn3446d ago (Edited 3446d ago )

Depends on how demanding the game is my friend.

GodGinrai3446d ago

"Depends on how demanding the game is my friend."

I would say its given that games will get more demanding on the hardware over the course of this cycle. Thats always, the way.

So, no. dont expect to see too many graphically intense, 1080P/60FPS games.

PersonMan3446d ago

As the hardware improves, the games can be even more demanding than ever, thus forcing the developer to decide whether they want prettier visuals or smoother frame rate. This is always going to happen.

dcj05243446d ago (Edited 3446d ago )

Bro, by time those come out i'm expecting some hardcore 4K @ 60FPS.

Ps4andxb13446d ago

Doubt it.

They'll beef the visuals heavily at a cost of 30fps.

newflesh3446d ago

No. Devs will always choose better graphics over performance, even on Next gen consoles. 4k/30fps maybe, not 60

thricetold3446d ago

This. It doesn't matter how much power these devs are given, they will most always use it for fukin graphics. Hell just look at pc owners, all they ever bring up is graphics but stuck with the same gameplay as console owners.

How many skyrim mods improved the gameplay? Animations? Oh well, at least we can see the individual grass blades, THAT'S truly worth upgrading right?

user56695103445d ago (Edited 3445d ago )

You stupid pc gamers care about gameplay most of all that's we aim for the most its we get the best gfx too.

Another reason your an idiot is because skyrim mods and the most popular skyrim mods changes and improve gameplay drastically. Another console fanboys talking bs and dont how bad he has it. Its things in PC version that you can't do in console version. Nice try but its not hard to shoot you dumb misconception s down animation? Idiot you know its a mod for that along with better skill tree and a ton of other gameplay elements

Sucker Punch Productions - Studio Profile | PlayStation

Meet the team at Sucker Punch Productions!

victorMaje252d ago (Edited 252d ago )

Ghost of Tsushima and SP were my 2020 goty & dev of the year.

Starman69249d ago

Christ, ghosts of Tsushima was absolute epic on ps5. Top 5 of all time for me 👍

northpaws250d ago

I need more from the Ghost's legend mode, too addicting but ran out of things to do after a few months, can't get enough of it.

MIDGETonSTILTS17250d ago

This means a new IP reveal is coming, right?

Why else educate the masses on a studio’s branding, if not to show off something that isn’t a sequel?

AdonisIsBeast250d ago

More action adventure titles in development or they actually going to dip their toes in an RPG? Tired of Sony’s formulaic titles

MIDGETonSTILTS17250d ago

I love Sony’s consistent output.

Rocksteady and Sucker Punch I can do a great action pact Star Wars games. Especially Rocksteady with their great combat system. Great write-up.

MadLad1158d ago

Spiders has proven that they can land the feel of the earlier Bioware games well.
Give them a solid budget, and they'd probably put out something impressive.

Then there's always Obsidian. As far as I'm concerned, despite being rushed thus buggy, I thought their Kotor 2 was a better game to Bioware's original. Especially when you got to play the fan patched version that included a lot of the content they didn't have the chance to implement in the original release.

Tacoboto1158d ago (Edited 1158d ago )

I disagree almost entirely with this article in regards to them being suitable for KOTOR, but would love a Star Wars from each of these devs.
Rocksteady would have a great sandbox filled with easter eggs to respect the lore of the universe, but KOTOR isn't an action brawler. They'd nail a Bounty Hunter game. Kojima would probably pull a Rian Johnson and throw the lore out the window, but if he was to focus on a specific genre I could see you being another Bounty Hunter infiltrating the Sith.

Sucker Punch could easily tackle something akin to Fallen Order mixed with elements of inFamous. Creative Assembly knows claustrophobic tension; I could imagine a side-story of a pilot that crash-lands onto a monster-infested area of a Sith-controlled planet.

Bluepoint would be the only studio of these I'd trust in these to respect the original gameplay systems.

LordoftheCritics1158d ago (Edited 1158d ago )

Yep. None of those devs make deep rpgs.

That was more like, ''I like the games those devs made so let them make KOTOR.''

BlackIceJoe1158d ago

Larian Studios is one of the best RPG developers around, so I could see them making a phenomenal game. Unfortunately I don't think that will happen.

MadLad1158d ago

Not to mention they're going to be working on Baldur's Gate for a good while.
