Hardcore Gamer: Fans of Metroidvania (or Castleroid, if you’re weird) games may be hurting for a lack of authentic-feeling games in the genre. Ache no more: Ghost Song wears its Metroid influences proudly and blends it with modern aesthetics and mechanics, ultra-tough gameplay and all-around incredible production quality. The game was 306% funded on Kickstarter and already Greenlit by the Steam community.
Exophase: "Ghost Song looks pretty cool, and its intentions are in the right place, but its surface level substance only goes so far."
Locate the hidden boss in Ghost Song, Kellunhelk the Cracked Engineer, and score the Hazard Blade and Berserker Device in the process.
“Ghost Song does some things quite well but as a complete package, it remains a tedious and patience-testing experience. With so many Metroidvanias out there, it's probably a good idea to look elsewhere for some exploration-based action.” - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums.
One of the best looking indie games I've seen. I mean wow look at that art and atmosphere.
