Anthony Morris: "I’ll be honest here and start by saying I haven’t played the previous Modern Combat titles. On PC and consoles I love a good FPS, but I’ve never looked at touch screen devices as being the ideal platform to play the genre on. But having recently got a new ‘n’ powerful iPhone 5S, I have decided to spread my metaphorical gaming wings and try something new, and so I come at this game as someone with a great deal of FPS experience and a love for mobile games, but without the thoughts of what I liked and disliked about the previous/similar titles on the platform. You may be new to the genre yourself, and if so then this might be just the review you’ve been looking for."
WTMG's Leo Faria: "Despite being little else than a port of a mobile game, Modern Combat Blackout is quite enjoyable, especially if you’re craving for a more traditional FPS offering on the Switch. It makes up for its underwhelming visuals, framerate, and campaign mode with a decent multiplayer and great controls. It gives me hope for future Gameloft endeavors on the console, as well as alerting Activision that you can make CoD-like shooters work on the Switch. You’re losing the race, guys."
The Nintendo Switch finally has a military shooter with Modern Combat Blackout! How does it stack up compared to the likes of Call of Duty or Battlefield?
Short Pause: "Check out the first two missions of the Modern Combat Blackout campaign as well as a few rounds of its multiplayer gameplay."
