I Wish Ubisoft Would Stop Treating Us All Like Idiots

That's a stupid philosophy. I don't really hate Ubisoft but if I did I wouldn't withhold myself from playing some of my most anticipated games like Far cry 4 and Division, games I've been looking forward to all year, just so I can protest.

Voting with your wallet doesn't get you anywhere either unless thousands of people do it together, otherwise I'd just be keeping myself from playing games for no reason whatsoever. The reason it worked for MS was because it was before their console launch and people had an alternative (PS4) to threaten them with.

Consoles strive for optimisation at the highest output while PCs don’t have many limitations when it comes to power. Each player can find the sweet spot for their own rig. I’ve also spoken to people who have used the mod and those settings didn’t really seem to break the game.console gamers are idiots for sure.

All companies treat us like idiots and try to manipulate the ignorance of the general population.
It's not new, it's always been that companies do whatever they can to win the favor of the public.
Whether it is showing games with far better graphics than they will ever have to making a big deal out of something small and insignificant.
I don't look up to any company anymore, and I sure as hell avoid pre ordering.
It's getting harder to tell what is garbage and what isn't until you see it in the wild.

Blame the publishers, not the devs.

All the devs wanna do is make the best product for everyone and it doesn't help when the publishers are hovering over their shoulder shouting "FASTER, FASTER!" and pushing them to make decisions they don't want to make.

Now I know why so many Devs are leaving their parent studios to form their own indies, they are tired of the slave drivers and want to make games at their own pace and by their rules.

Ubisoft isn't treating anybody like idiots. They're trying to actually deliver amazing things, they're just falling short. If they're guilt of anything it's shooting higher than they can deliver, and we're not idiots/gullable/stupid for buying their products... we're just optimistic/hopeful that they can deliver.

Why all the jumping on Ubi all of a sudden? By all accounts Ubi has been a pretty good company, no? They've put women in AC before, you guys know it. They've put minorities as main characters in their games as well, right? At least in AC.

The "gaming" industry: gamers, devs, pubs, journalist, need to stop being so pessimistic/pissed/offended. I'm not liking the way things are headed, it's great that we get to call out things when we see them... but it get's out of hand quickly.
